Allyssa & Stuart – Engagement at TCU Campus & Downtown Fort WorthFort Worth, Texas

These two braved the cold for their session on TCU campus!  They both graduated from TCU so of course we had to start their session there! After exploring campus we headed downtown for more pictures.  These two were as sweet as can be, and I can’t wait for their wedding!

Wendy & Aaron – Engagement Session at Airfield Waterfall and Modern Art MuseumFort Worth, TX

I’ve known Aaron & Wendy for a little while now and I’ve been able to see their relationship grow from the start. With that said, I was super excited when they told me they were engaged and even more excited when they asked me to take their engagement photos. They are a perfect pair! They were great together when adventuring down rock walls and through cold water with me (to get the right shot!), even though it was pretty chilly outside. I am looking forward to photographing them on their wedding day!

Claudia & Patrick – Engagement Session at Japanese Gardens and Airfield WaterfallFort Worth, TX

How adorable are Claudia and Patrick??  Just the cutest, if you ask me!  One thing I like about Texas Decembers is that it still looks like fall!  We got ALL of the fall colors during their engagement session and it was absolutely fabulous.  Claudia and Patrick met while working together about 3 years ago.  Patrick is now in school in Alabama so they are having to do long distance for now.  They love traveling together so Patrick proposed to Claudia while they were on a trip to Canada. Here is their proposal story in her own words:

In order to appropriately celebrate our summer together in 2017, we decided to take a long weekend trip together to Canada. We found a good flight sale, and being the travel aficionados we are, a trip to Ottawa and Montreal was the perfect end to a great three months of being in the same city. Patrick was insanely sneaky, and it should be known that I had NO IDEA the entire time that he was planning everything in the background. We had dinner reservations (not suspicious since once again, we were celebrating the end of the summer), and Patrick suggested we stop by this university campus on our way to dinner. McGill University, is what I would describe as the “Harvard of Canada”. It is old-style, historical, “Hogwarts-y”, and filled with pretty flowers. We walked around in massive circles because Patrick wanted to find this one cool entrance. We were on vacation, and I was super relaxed, so the fact that we were for some reason walking in circles to find this one particular spot didn’t even seem to bother me or raise any sort of questions. When we finally found the entrance, we walked together up this long walk-way to the main building with a beautiful flower garden in front that looked like a heart (really it was McGill’s crest, but it looked like a heart to me). When we got to the top, Patrick got down on one knee, and despite the fact that I think I blacked out in shock and unfortunately couldn’t tell you the exact words that came out of his mouth, it was the sweetest and most beautiful question he has ever asked me. Of course, after multiple “omg’s” and tears, I said yes!

They will be getting married next year and I cannot wait for their big day!  It is sure to be a blast!

Brynn & Michael – Engagement Session at Private Residence and Elemental YogaFort Worth, TX

I loved Brynn and Michael’s engagement session!!  We started off at Brynn’s parents home.  They have a beautiful back yard and this is also where they will be getting married next year!  Brynn and Michael are very into yoga, and I love that they wanted to incorporate that into their session.  They had some pretty sweet poses and I love that it is something that they enjoy doing together.  It makes the photos just that much more special.  It was so much fun hanging with these two and seeing what they love to do together.  I am so excited for their wedding next year!

Sarah & Nick – Engagement Session in Downtown Fort Worth and Magnolia AveFort Worth, TX

Sarah and Nick met while in the marching band at TCU.  Since TCU is such a special part of their relationship, Nick chose to incorporate it into his proposal!  Here is how he did it in Sarah’s own words.

“I knew it was coming, but Nick surprised me with making it happen earlier than I thought it would be. He told me that we were going out for a surprise dinner downtown but wouldn’t say anything else. When I asked what I should wear, I started getting suspicious because he responded, “Your green shirt, blue flower pants, orange shoes, Kendra Scott earrings, and pearls!” We got in the car, and he blindfolded me, and we started driving to the TCU stadium. Much to his amusement, I was still able to tell all the roads we were turning onto, so he had to take a more convoluted route. We got out of the car, and still blindfolded, I was led into the stadium. I only figured out where we were when I heard a golf cart go by. He took me to the band section, as that was where we spend a good portion of our time together, and he had the whole area decorated. He un-blindfolded me and handed me a book that he had written and had illustrated and printed. It was a poem of our story with the last page being the proposal!! I said, “Yes!”

Not only did they meet and get engaged at TCU but they will also be getting married there next year!  I cannot wait for their big day!

Patricia & Jacob – Engagement Session at Airfield Waterfall and Japanese GardensFort Worth, TX

Oh my good gracious!! Patricia and Jacob are the absolute cutest!  I can’t even express how much fun I had with these two.  We started early in the morning which I don’t normally get to do but it ended up being just perfect.  Patricia and Jacob have so much chemistry and were complete naturals in front of the camera.  They were giggly, kissy, sweet and just plain CUTE.  I cannot wait for their wedding next year!

Hollis & Joe – Engagement Session at Shady Oaks Country Club and Trinity Trails WaterfallFort Worth, TX

My goodness Hollis and Joe are so cute!  And so much fun!  For their engagement session we started out at Shady Oaks Country Club, where Hollis’ family are members.  Joe is also really into golf, so it was incredibly fitting.  I loved getting to hang out with these two.  The whole session was full of smiles and laughter and was just too fun.  We finished up over at the waterfall on Trinity Trails where we got to do a little climbing.  I’m always so happy when my couples are willing to be a little adventurous and climb around barefoot on rocks and through water with me.  It makes for some pretty amazing photos!  I cannot wait for these two to get hitched in April.  I have no doubt that it will be a great party!

Lauren & CJ – Engagement Session at Japanese Gardens and TCUFort Worth, TX

I cannot get over how adorable Lauren and CJ are!!  From the moment I met with them I knew they were going to be a blast to photograph.  Lauren and CJ are both TCU alum and Lauren was a Showgirl at TCU, so of course we had to hit up campus for one of their locations! Being a TCU grad myself, I always love having a chance to go back to campus and talk about “the good ole days” with my couples.  These two are so precious and have such amazing chemistry, I couldn’t decide on which images to show!   Lauren and CJ  will be getting married next year at Classic Oaks and I cannot wait!

Kelly & Chris – Engagement Session at the Botanic Garden and Downtown Fort WorthFort Worth, TX

I loved getting to know Kelly and Chris during their engagement session.  These two met at church here in Fort Worth and love biking and being out in nature.  We chose the Botanic Garden to take some photos and then headed over to the water gardens.  They tie the knot this summer at the Historic 512 (also known as the YWCA).  Can’t wait!  Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

Magenta and Caleb – Engagement Session at Trinity Park and Downtown Fort WorthFort Worth, TX

I know I say  it a lot but it’s always true, I had so much fun hanging out with Magenta and Caleb!  They love coffee so we stopped in Avoca Coffee shop just down the street for a quick cup and a few fun photos.  We then headed over to Trinity park where Caleb brought out one of the many signs he used to propose to Magenta back at Christmas.  They were just too cute and giggly that I couldn’t help but smile while I was around them.  We ended our session in Downtown Fort Worth.  Magenta and Caleb really love the look and the architecture so it was the perfect place especially since their reception will be held down there next year!  Check out their fun engagement session!
