Cortni and Jason – Wedding Ceremony at Saint Patrick’s CathedralFort Worth, TX

What a beautiful day full of joy and emotions!  Cortni and Jason are absolutely precious and I am so excited to show off their wedding day!  They were married at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Downtown Fort Worth, but started the day at their reception venue, BRIK.  Once we got Cortni in her amazing dress, we went outside for some fun bridesmaids photos.  Cortni was then given a little gift and note from Jason and she only got a couple of sentences in before she was so moved to tears that she couldn’t continue to read.  I think Jason and his groomsmen had a little more fun while getting ready then most guys tend to.  It was time for Cortni to walk down the aisle and boy, did she look stunning!  It was so sweet seeing Jason tear up as his bride walked toward him.  They were so cute up at the altar during the service, stealing little glances toward one another.  Everything was absolutely perfect and they became husband and wife!  Check out my favorites from their Catholic ceremony and be sure to check back when their reception photos are posted!

Amanda and Matías – Utah Destination Engagement SessionAmerican Fork and Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah

I recently had the opportunity to photograph my good friend, Amanda, and her new fiance, Matías, for their engagement portraits.  When Amanda asked me if I would photograph them in Utah, naturally I jumped at the chance!  I love traveling and so add in a photo shoot and I’m in heaven!  Amanda and Matías met a year ago in Chile.  They recently reconnected here in the States and have been together ever since!  We had a blast in the mountains of American Fork National Park and even though we began at sunrise and it was extremely cold, these two were absolutely precious!  You’d never know it just by looking at the photos, but it was about 20 degrees up there!  Amanda and Matías had no problem keeping each other warm though.  We took a little break in the middle of the day and then took a little road trip down to the Salt Flats for a few fun sunset photos.  Since none of us had been to the Salt Flats before we had no idea that they would be like quick sand, quickly sucking up our shoes in the mud.  No worries though!  Amanda and Matías were such troopers, they just kicked their shoes off without a second thought and didn’t let it stop them from getting incredible photos!  We may have been covered in mud afterward, but it was well worth it!  Please check out their adventurous Utah engagement session! Enjoy!

Laura Jean and Branden – Wedding Reception at Tower ClubDallas, Texas

After they were pronounced husband and wife no time was wasted and we hopped onto the party bus and headed toward the reception.  I always love riding on the bus with the bridal party, there is never a dull moment!  We arrived at Tower Club Dallas and Laura Jean and Branden were introduced and went into their first dance with Downtown Dallas behind them as a perfect backdrop.  The dance floor was packed all night long as everyone enjoyed the music from the Signed Sealed Delivered Band.  Laura Jean and Branden ended the night with a bang dancing and singing on stage with the band!  As the night ended we sent the newlyweds off on their honeymoon through a tunnel of gold pom poms to the elevators.  It was a fun day and I’m so glad that they chose me to capture their special moments!  Congratulations Laura Jean and Branden!

Laura Jean and Branden – First Look and Wedding Ceremony at St. Thomas AquinasDallas, Texas

How sweet are Laura Jean & Branden??  I always get so excited when I have the privilege to photograph such amazing couples!  So basically I’m excited all the time.  We began the day at Laura Jean’s parent’s home where her and her girls spent the morning hanging out and getting ready.  They were all so cute hanging out in Laura Jean’s childhood bedroom getting ready together.  We got to the church and got Laura Jean in her dress and she was absolutely stunning.  She had beautiful lace sleeves that made her gown even more elegant than it already was.  It was then time for their first look!  All of the family and bridal party stayed inside peeking through the window waiting to see Branden’s face when he saw Laura Jean for the first time.  It makes me so happy to be able to just feel the love between two people and with these two that was definitely the case.  Not only could you feel their love for each other but for all of their friends and family and even their vendors.  I can’t tell you how much I enjoy becoming friends with my couples and how much it means to me when they treat me like I’m part of their family.  That’s just how Laura Jean and Branden are.  Please enjoy some of my favorite moments from their first look and ceremony and be sure to check back for their reception!

Lauren and Greg – Wedding at The Renaissance Worthington HotelFort Worth, Texas

It may have been a gloomy January day outside, but inside the ballrooms of the Worthington it was the exact opposite.  Lauren and Greg spent the day surrounded by family and friends as they prepared for their marriage and new life together.  They had a few minutes to themselves during their first look before beginning all of their wedding day events.  Then it was time for the signing of the Ketubah and wedding ceremony.  Lauren looked beautiful as she walked arm in arm with her parents to her future groom.  One thing that I loved about the Jewish ceremony was that the parents stood under the Chuppah with the couple.  What a wonderful way to watch your child be married!  Once they were pronounced husband and wife it was time to celebrate!  Thanks to Jamie and the rest of the team at Tami Winn Events, the ballroom was transformed into the winter wonderland that Lauren had her heart set on and everyone enjoyed the music by one of my favorite bands, Professor D!  It was so much fun to be out on the dance floor with everyone, especially during the Hora!  After all of the fun and dancing it was time to send the couple off to their new life together.  They were sent off through a tunnel of sparklers and taken away in a horse drawn carriage.  Congratulations to Lauren and Greg!

Sara and Matt – Wedding Reception at The Petroleum ClubFort Worth, TX

After the ceremony we headed downtown to the Petroleum Club where everyone was anxiously waiting the newlyweds.  The room was washed a beautiful purple with white and purple floral pieces by The Perfect Plan Events.  The bride and groom had their first dance as husband and wife and Sara had a special daddy daughter dance that was sung by her uncles.  Sara and Matt then joined all of their friends and family out on the dance floor and man do they have some mad dance skills!  You could tell everyone was having a blast and was sad to see the night end.  But it did have to end and we sent the Sara and Matt off to their honeymoon with a streamer farewell!  It has been such an honor getting to work with Sara, Matt and their friends and family.  I absolutely have loved getting to know them and I can’t wait to watch as they continue to grow their love and family!  Congratulations to Sara and Matt!

Sara and Matt – First Look and Wedding Ceremony at First United Methodist ChurchFort Worth, TX

What a perfect beginning to 2017!  I absolutely adore Sara and Matt and I am so glad that they were my first wedding of the year!  These two Horned Frogs were married at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.  Sara and her girls were a hoot during getting ready and it took almost all of them to hold up the front of her dress while putting on her garter.  Once they got Sara in her dress and all ready to go, it was time for her to see her future husband for the first time.  While Matt and I were waiting for Sara to join us in the courtyard, I asked what he thought her dress looked like.  He guessed that it would be big and poofy. He was right!  Sara made an absolutely stunning bride and I think Matt had a little trouble holding back the tears.  When taking in the vision that was his bride, he noticed that a strand of her hair was blue!  Sara says that when she was younger she used to dye her hair blue and so this was a fun way for her to bring that part of her to her wedding day and it was also her something blue!  It may have been a little chilly outside but boy did we have a fun time with all of Sara & Matt’s family and bridal party.  They were having fun making their “fake candid” photos as they liked to call them which made me laugh.  At last it was time to walk down the aisle.  Sara was escorted down the aisle by her sweet daddy and he gave her away to Matt.  They exchanged beautiful vows and officially became husband and wife!  It brings me so much joy to be able to share these images with everyone and show the love and happiness that this couple and their families possess.  Please check back soon for the rockin’ reception!

Welcome baby Timothy! – In home newborn portraitsFort Worth, TX

Christmas came early for Heather and Tim as they welcomed their first baby boy, Timothy into the world!  We absolutely love it when our bride and grooms turn into mommies and daddies and we get to photograph them once more!  It was so much fun to get to hang out with Heather and Tim again and see them as parents.  Timothy was so good as we squished and cuddled him into different positions, even when we put him under the tree!  We are so excited to get to continue to photograph them as they grow their little family!
