Lindsey & Matt – Wedding Reception at The Fort Worth ClubFort Worth, TX

After the ceremony, Lindsey and Matt headed back to the Fort Worth Club to celebrate with all of their friends and family.  The dance floor was packed as everyone enjoyed the music from The Royal Dukes Band and if Lindsey and Matt weren’t out on the dance floor they were catching up with old friends.  They also spent some time on stage with the band showing off their dance moves!  At the end of the night, Lindsey and Matt shared a private last dance and then were sent off through a cloud of flutterfetti to start their new life together!  It was a great day and I am so glad they chose me to be there and capture it for them!  Congratulations to Lindsey and Matt!

Lindsey & Matt – Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel at TCUFort Worth, TX

They are married!!  Lindsey and Matt met at TCU, so what better place to start their new life than getting married at Robert Carr Chapel?

“We have been together for such a long time, and share many of the same friends. We are so excited to share our day with them and our family, and to celebrate the evolution and stages of our relationship and beginning our next chapter. We are especially excited to get married at the TCU Chapel, since surprisingly, none of our other TCU friends have gotten married there yet (and we have been to a bunch of weddings over the past few years!)”

They began the day getting ready at the Fort Worth Club, where their reception would be held later that evening.  After they were dressed and ready, Lindsey and Matt read notes that they had written to one another.  This is something I really love.  It’s the next best thing to a first look (in my opinion) while still holding true to tradition.  It’s always such a sweet moment, that I love being able to capture, for you to read the words your love has written to you just moments before you see each other walking down the aisle.

It was then time for the ceremony!  The cute little ring bearer practically sprinted down the aisle while the flower girl very carefully placed the flower petals down the aisle.  The doors opened, and Lindsey made her entrance on her father’s arm.  She looked absolutely stunning in her Hayley Paige gown with the illusion neckline and detailed bodice.  It was a beautiful ceremony full of love and laughter!  I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from their ceremony and check back for their reception!

Taylor & Travis – Engagement Session at Winspear Opera House and Dallas ArboretumDallas, TX

I am so excited to share Taylor and Travis’ engagement session!  We met up in the early morning and they braved the Texas summer heat.  I loved how Travis made Taylor laugh and just how sweet they are together.  They told me about how many weddings they’ve been to together and how that led to many road trips.  What a fun way to spend time together and really get to know each other!  I love how Taylor tells their proposal story, because she clearly knows Travis so well!

“Unfortunately for Travis, I can read him like a book! Weeks beforehand I could tell something was up. He doesn’t plan ANYTHING and I’m a type A that carries a planner in her purse, so when he told me we were going to dinner with another couple three weeks in advance, I knew something was up. He may not have been a huge fan of it not being a surprise, but it was one of my favorite parts! I bought a new dress and made sure my hair and make-up looked great. It was perfect! We were in Sundance Square near the Christmas tree when he grabbed me by the shoulders and started rambling on about people waiting for us downtown. I was very confused ha! And then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him 3 or 4 times, while I kept saying yes over and over again. I think our families came out of the crowd when he finally realized I had said yes and then we came full turn and I found out our close friends and family were waiting to celebrate at a nearby restaurant.”

I cannot wait for their wedding next year!  It is going to be so much fun!

Brynn & Michael – Backyard WeddingFort Worth, TX

Brynn and Michael were married at her parent’s home, under the big tree in their backyard.  The tree was a beautiful backdrop, flowing with floral decor by Flower Vibes.  Brynn and Michael chose some beautiful readings that were read by their sisters and exchanged vows that they had written themselves.  Their vows were by far my favorite part of their ceremony.  I especially loved when Michael recalled the first time he had ever seen/met Brynn.  The whole ceremony was full of smiles and laughter and was just perfect.  Afterward everyone moved to the back patio for the party!  Brynn and Michael are dancing machines and did not waste any time getting out on the dance floor!  Surrounded by all of their loved ones, they continued their party into the night.  It was such a great day and I am so glad they chose me to be there and document their big day!  Congratulations to Brynn and Michael!

Brynn & Michael – Getting Ready and First Look at Private ResidenceFort Worth, TX

I LOVE first looks!  They are one of my favorite parts of the day and Brynn and Michael’s first look was absolutely precious.  I asked Michael what he thought Brynn’s dress looked like and he was very close with his description!  He knows his bride very well.  As soon as he turned around to see Brynn for the first time, the biggest smile appeared on his face and Brynn was overcome with emotion.  You could feel the love they have for each other just as they stood there talking to each other.  I know they couldn’t wait much longer for the ceremony to begin so that they could become husband and wife!  Enjoy some of my favorites from their very sweet first look and check back for their backyard wedding and reception!

Laura & Jared – Engagement Session at The Winspear and White Rock LakeDallas, TX

Laura and Jared are getting married this upcoming December at the Ashton Depot!  They are planning for a brunch wedding, which I am super excited for.  These two met through friends at the church where they are both very involved.  Their engagement story is so cute; Laura describes the night in her own words:

“Jared asked me a couple of weeks in advance if he could plan an early birthday celebration for me and said he would make me dinner. I thought the proposal could be coming as the celebration was set for a dating anniversary and was a year from the day of a special date early in our relationship. He was really normal throughout the day (we went on a home tour that I had found), so I didn’t think it would actually happen. When we got to his apartment and it was normal (not covered in rose petals), I knew it wasn’t happening and so just settled in to a nice evening with him. We ended up tag teaming dinner and making it together where I was a little frustrated because he was using recipes from an Irish chef and all the measurements were in European measurements. We still had fun though. 🙂
After eating our dinner – and the from scratch Guinness chocolate cake he made me, he said that he had an early birthday present for me. He came back with a gift bag that had a photo book inside. The photos were from our time dating and while this probably should have been a trigger, I didn’t catch on at all and was absorbed in reliving the memories and enjoying the photos. He had also written a super sweet poem throughout the book (definitely should have caught on :)). About 3 pages from the end of the book, it said “I’ll never love another” and that’s when I knew it was happening. The last page of the book said “will you marry me?” and he got down on one knee and had the ring in his hand. I said “yes” immediately :).

What seemed like only a few minutes later, but apparently was 45 minutes, we heard a knock on the door and a bunch of friends came in for an engagement party. He had coordinated the whole thing and was paying careful attention to the time while I was processing being engaged :).”

I am looking forward to their big day in just a few months!  Congratulations Laura and Jared!

Becca & Chip – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

I always love learning about the small details that go into planning each couple’s wedding day.  Becca and Chip had a few special things planned for their big day.

“We are trying to bring in several little touches to make our wedding unique and as much like us as possible. Some of these things include surprising my parents with the string quartet playing their song “Amarillo by Morning” for the recessional at the ceremony. We also have one of Chip’s good friends, Wes Nickson, who is a Texas county singer, perform during the cocktail hour. We will also have pictures of all of our grandparents and parents wedding day portraits on display during the reception.”

After being introduced as husband and wife, the party began and everyone was on the dance floor with the Icehouse band!  We managed to sneak away for a few nighttime photos and then right back to the party!  It was an incredibly fun night, but all good things must come to an end, so we sent the newlyweds off to start their new life with all of their family and friends gathered around them.  Congratulations to Becca and Chip!

Becca & Chip – Wedding Ceremony at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

Becca & Chip are married!! After about 2.5 years of dating and wedding planning, these two had a beautiful ceremony and reception at The Ashton Depot in Downtown Fort Worth.

“Chip proposed on December 29th, which just so happens to be his birthday as well. I was completely surprised! He invited our closest friends to dinner, we went to an escape room after dinner where we beat the test with 20 seconds left to spare! When we were taking pictures afterwards, I turned around and he was on one knee.”

Becca spent the morning preparing with her girls and her sweet beagle and puggle babies!  I loved how the dogs wanted to get in the photo with all of the bridesmaids, but they got their own special photo with mom later.  The ceremony was held out in the courtyard at the Ashton Depot covered by a tent for shade.  It was a beautiful and sunny summer day surrounded by all of their loved ones!  I am so excited to share some of my favorite moments from their ceremony and be sure to check back for their fun reception!
