Patricia & Jacob – Wedding Reception at The Fort Worth ClubFort Worth, TX

Patricia, Jacob and all of their friends really know how to have fun!  I mean just look at that wedding party!  You know that with a wedding party of that size, it’s going to be a fun night.  After the ceremony, Patricia and Jacob wasted no time in getting out onto the checkered dance floor for their first dance.  They looked so happy to just be together and to finally be husband and wife.  They cut the cake and then it was a party the rest of the night.  The Project Band never disappoints and they rocked that dance floor all night long!  It was such a fun day and I am so glad to have been a part of it.  Congratulations to Patricia and Jacob!

Patricia & Jacob – Wedding Ceremony at First United Methodist ChurchFort Worth, TX

Patricia and Jacob are married and what an amazing day it was!  Everyone was so calm and just enjoying the day before the ceremony.  Patricia was absolutely breathtaking in her lace wedding gown and just looked so happy.  Her grandmother was there to help her put her sorority pin in her dress as she got ready and she had a very special veil that has been worn by the women in her family for about 100 years!  Such a cool family heirloom to pass on.  Everyone participated in a group prayer over Patricia and Jacob’s marriage and then it was time to walk down the aisle!  From that moment on, I don’t think that the smiles left their faces! Please enjoy some of my favorites from their ceremony and check back for their awesome reception!

Courtney & Tyler – Wedding Ceremony at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, TX

Oh my goodness!  I cannot stop gushing over Courtney and Tyler’s wedding day!  It was pretty much as perfect as a wedding day can be.  We started the day out getting ready at Courtney’s childhood home where everyone was excited for the day to start.  All of the girls were absolutely stunning with their floor length champagne colored gowns as they watched Courtney put on her wedding dress.  That’s the moment when everything starts feeling real.  Soon after Courtney was dressed, the power in the whole neighborhood went off!  Luckily everyone was done and ready to go.  Once we got to the church it was time for Courtney and Tyler to see each other for the first time.  I do believe Tyler had his breath taken away by seeing his beautiful bride to be in her wedding dress, especially after seeing that amazing illusion back.  We had so much fun with Courtney, Tyler and their wedding party!  Guests started arriving and it was time to get Courtney’s veil on and get her down the aisle!  The ceremony was beautiful with Marty Leonard a lit up at night.  It was an incredibly breathtaking view.  Please enjoy some of my favorites from Courtney and Tyler’s ceremony and be sure to check back for their reception!

I am so excited to finally be able to share Courtney’s bridal portraits!  This beautiful bride was married on Saturday and was absolutely stunning in her gown from Classy Concepts.  It had all kinds of amazing details from the illusion back all the way down to the lace on the train.  Courtney couldn’t have looked more beautiful and elegant for her bridals and wedding day.

Ali & Caleb – Wedding Reception at The Fort Worth ClubFort Worth, TX

What a fun day!  Ali & Caleb’s ceremony was fantastic and now it’s time to party and celebrate all of the little moments that led to this moment!  Ali tells us about the best moment (the proposal!)  in her own words.

“It was a cold and rainy weekend in February and I was down in Austin visiting Caleb. He had planned for us to go to a winery with two of our friends Amy and Henry that evening. We were to pick Amy and Henry up from Camp Lucy to head to the winery and get our tasting on. When we arrived Amy immediately sent Caleb away to do “work” while we could chat. While I was chowing down on a cookie, Amy asked if I would be interested in seeing new developments on the property at Camp Lucy. We were touring the bridal suite and she was asking me if I had any idea of where I would want my wedding to be one day. I pointed to my left hand and said “I have no ring, so not yet” (little did I know) Amy asked if I wanted to go see the new benches in Ian’s Chapel- I thought it odd but I obliged. As she led me up the stairs to the chapel I started to hear music, when we approached the chapel doors she swung them open and there Caleb stood at the end of the aisle of the church surrounded by candles and rose petals. Caleb got down on one knee and the rest is a blur. (I obviously said YES!) I somewhat caught my breath and walked outside to a photographer who was there to take pictures of our special day, she snapped away as I was still blown away that such an amazing man just asked me to be his wife.

Caleb took me to another venue on Camp Lucy’s property where there were flowers, pictures a fire and every romantic thing I could dream up. As we were chatting (really, I was crying like a baby) my Mom and Dad walked through the door followed by my sweet brother Ben, Lauren, and some of my best friends. I was so excited the tears started to flow even more. It was so perfect. Later that evening after the champagne was popping, Caleb ushered us all to his parents’ home where they threw us the most incredible engagement party. However, sweet Caleb was not done yet. He told me that night there would be another engagement party waiting for me when I returned home to Dallas. When I arrived back in Dallas on Sunday all my best friends were waiting to celebrate with us. It was an absolute dream; I cannot wait to Marry Caleb. I am still blown away at how sweet the Lord has been to me-I am lucky to be gaining a man who seeks The Lord fervently and loves me with all that he has. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him!”

I absolutely adore Ali and Caleb and had so much fun celebrating their love with all of their family and friends.  They had one heck of a reception and danced all night long!  Congratulations to Ali and Caleb!

Ali & Caleb – Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel at TCUFort Worth, TX

Wow.  What an incredible couple Ali and Caleb are!    I love how Caleb describes the way they first met and their courtship after that led to marriage!  Here is their story in his own words.

“It was the summer of 2015, and I was complaining to one of my best friends of how tired I was of being single and hated the entire process of first dates. My friend Amy listened patiently and began to plant inconspicuous seeds of getting to know Alexandra, the soon to be love of my life. I was taken aback because Ali not only lived 3.5 hrs away, but was also a devout Fighting Texas Aggie and in my opinion not my type. My how I was so wrong!!!!!! It was not until the Winter of 2016, that I finally took Amy up on her suggestion and boldly asked Ali out on a blind date to the Twisted Root burger and beer joint in a suburb of Dallas. I instantaneously felt a connection and could not help but see the beauty and kindness she had within. We spoke a few hours of family and friends and things seemed to flow so organically. A few days after our first encounter, I asked if I could call her and a few phone calls turned into another in person date.

Here is where the story goes south for about two weeks……… I got scared and nervous and did not follow up after our last date.

It finally was about a week before our awesome friend Amy’s wedding, when I asked to see her again. I knew it was a long shot, because I was kind of a jerk but she kindly accepted my offer and went as my date.

We nervously met up the night before our mutual friend’s wedding in San Marcos, where I introduced her to my stomping grounds, which included a sub-par burger joint and fantastic wine bar experience.

The organic conversations that fueled our first encounter was back, as we didn’t skip a beat. I remember loving how natural I felt with Ali and hoped this would be my forever partner in crime.

The following day, Ali and I met up to attend the nuptials of Henry and Amy. I was insanely nervous and knew that I was about to embark on the most incredible journey and adventure of a lifetime………. I just didn’t know how amazing it was going to be.

After the wedding, I asked if we could sit and chat a while. I nervously told her I liked her in the most awkward way possible and didn’t know how it would work, but wanted it to work. She replied by inviting me to meet [her family] and I excitedly accepted her offer. I had no clue the amazing journey to marriage I was about to experience.

It has been a year since Ali and I first met. My heart still skips a beat when I gaze into her eyes. She makes me a better man and I cannot wait to make her my wife.”

With only having 2 weddings left in 2017, I couldn’t be more excited they they were one of them. These two are quite possibly the sweetest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet and their excitement for life is so infectious.  Usually it’s my couples’ faces that hurt after smiling so much for photos, but this time I found my own face hurting from all of the smiling from just being around them and their families.  Enjoy some of my favorite moments from their ceremony and check back for their amazing reception!

Jessica & Sidney – Reception at McDavid StudioFort Worth, Texas

These two had a great reception full of dancing and laughter.  Dancing is by far one of my favorite times during a wedding because there is so much energy and people can just let loose!  Jessica and Sidney shared a sweet last dance before leaving with a streamer exit!  It was such a joy photographing this great couple!  Take a look at some of my favorite moments.

Jessica & Sidney – Getting Ready and Ceremony at St. Patrick CathedralFort Worth, Texas

Jessica and Sidney met in highschool but never dated.  It wasn’t until senior year of college that these two reconnected and started dating!  These two chose to get ready in downtown Fort Worth surrounded by friends and family.  Sidney waited on the rooftop for his bride for their first look and then we stuck around to take some fun wedding party photos.  They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony at St. Patrick Cathedral and if you haven’t been there, you should go check it out!  It is quite stunning!  Check out some of my favorite moments from the first part of their day!

Abbey & Ben – Reception at the Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

After their beautiful ceremony, they headed to the Ashton Depot for their reception.  As the guests arrived to the reception they enjoyed signature cocktails, a mariachi band, hand-rolled cigars, and a picture booth with a beer burro! Inside, the space was transformed with beautiful pink uplighting and lush florals.  Don’t even get me started on the groom’s cake!  Chocolate covered cake balls lined a replica Texas A& M Kyle Field Football Stadium while the brides cake was decorated in pretty pink flowers.  I mean, does it get any better?  The bride and groom entered and went into a fun and sassy dance before a starting a slow dance as their first dance as husband and wife.  As a gift to the father of the bride, the couple brought out a birthday cake and sang to him since his birthday fell on that special day! Then, the dance party got started with a surprise drumline and didn’t stop until the couple left in style in a vintage car.  Check out some of my favorite moments!
