Kelly & Andrew – Engagement Session at Sundance Square & Airfield FallsFort Worth, TX

Kelly and Andrew are a great match! They’re getting married next spring and I am super excited for the two of them. Here’s a little bit about the couple in their own words:

“Andrew and I met in college at Texas A&M at the end of our freshmen year through a friend of friend. We started texting back and forth over the summer. He asked me to Midnight Yell (an Aggie tradition) and we’ve basically dated since then…Andrew did a great job with the proposal. He took me out to dinner under the pretense of seeing a play in Dallas (we tend to see a play a year, so I thought nothing of it). After dinner, he surprised me by taking me to the Dallas Botanical Gardens. He had a friend blocking off a quiet row of trees and walked me down an isolated path and asked for my hand in marriage”

Katie & Keegan – Reception at the BRIK VenueFort Worth, Texas

One of my favorite moments from the reception is when one of Keegan’s high school teacher gave a toast!  Apparently, Keegan was a very entertaining and precocious student and his teacher shared a paper he had written which had everyone in tears from laughter!  After toasts the band had everyone on the dance floor for the rest of the night!  Check out some of my favorite images at their reception.

Katie & Keegan – Getting Ready and Ceremony at the BRIKFort Worth

Temperatures reached over one hundred degrees the day these two tied the knot but that didn’t phase this couple!  Surrounded by their friends and family Katie and Keegan said “I do” at the Brik Venue in Fort Worth.   They shared a first look outside and Keegan’s reaction is the best!  I just love when a groom sees his bride for the first time!

Check out some of my favorite moments from the first part of their day!

Brynn & Michael – Backyard WeddingFort Worth, TX

Brynn and Michael were married at her parent’s home, under the big tree in their backyard.  The tree was a beautiful backdrop, flowing with floral decor by Flower Vibes.  Brynn and Michael chose some beautiful readings that were read by their sisters and exchanged vows that they had written themselves.  Their vows were by far my favorite part of their ceremony.  I especially loved when Michael recalled the first time he had ever seen/met Brynn.  The whole ceremony was full of smiles and laughter and was just perfect.  Afterward everyone moved to the back patio for the party!  Brynn and Michael are dancing machines and did not waste any time getting out on the dance floor!  Surrounded by all of their loved ones, they continued their party into the night.  It was such a great day and I am so glad they chose me to be there and document their big day!  Congratulations to Brynn and Michael!

Rebecca & Matt – Wedding Ceremony at UCCFort Worth, TX - Lindsey Morgan

Becca & Matt were married at University Christian Church, on TCU campus, and so many of their loved ones came to support them. They are a very sweet couple and once you meet them you can tell how much they value family, friendship and each other. While preparations for the ceremony involved a few surprises and lots of laughter, there were also some sweet moments shared. From the “first look” between Becca and her dad to Matt and his groomsmen praying before the ceremony, you can find plenty of emotion and love shared throughout this part of the day.

Becca & Chip – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

I always love learning about the small details that go into planning each couple’s wedding day.  Becca and Chip had a few special things planned for their big day.

“We are trying to bring in several little touches to make our wedding unique and as much like us as possible. Some of these things include surprising my parents with the string quartet playing their song “Amarillo by Morning” for the recessional at the ceremony. We also have one of Chip’s good friends, Wes Nickson, who is a Texas county singer, perform during the cocktail hour. We will also have pictures of all of our grandparents and parents wedding day portraits on display during the reception.”

After being introduced as husband and wife, the party began and everyone was on the dance floor with the Icehouse band!  We managed to sneak away for a few nighttime photos and then right back to the party!  It was an incredibly fun night, but all good things must come to an end, so we sent the newlyweds off to start their new life with all of their family and friends gathered around them.  Congratulations to Becca and Chip!

Becca & Chip – Wedding Ceremony at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

Becca & Chip are married!! After about 2.5 years of dating and wedding planning, these two had a beautiful ceremony and reception at The Ashton Depot in Downtown Fort Worth.

“Chip proposed on December 29th, which just so happens to be his birthday as well. I was completely surprised! He invited our closest friends to dinner, we went to an escape room after dinner where we beat the test with 20 seconds left to spare! When we were taking pictures afterwards, I turned around and he was on one knee.”

Becca spent the morning preparing with her girls and her sweet beagle and puggle babies!  I loved how the dogs wanted to get in the photo with all of the bridesmaids, but they got their own special photo with mom later.  The ceremony was held out in the courtyard at the Ashton Depot covered by a tent for shade.  It was a beautiful and sunny summer day surrounded by all of their loved ones!  I am so excited to share some of my favorite moments from their ceremony and be sure to check back for their fun reception!

Jessica & Rob – Engagement Session in Sundance Square and the StockyardsFort Worth, TX

I loved getting to know Jessica and Rob during their engagement shoot downtown and in the stockyards.  They laughed the whole time, even though it was quite warm, which was very sweet!  Here’s how they met:

“We met 5 years ago (April 2013) in Addison, Texas at Sherlocks. Rob is the guitarist for an 80s cover band called the Mullet Boyz and I was out with one of my friends – thought he was cute, so we stuck around and watched the show. Afterward we talked for a bit and exchanged numbers. A week later, he was playing another show in the area and invited me to come out – and rest is history!”

I can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Hollis & Joey – Wedding Reception at The Modern Art MuseumFort Worth, TX

Hollis and Joey and all of their friends really know how to party.  Once the dancing began, it didn’t stop!  I think one of my favorite dancing moments was when Joey and all of his groomsmen did a little performance to a Back Street Boys song and then Hollis joined in right at the end.  There is also a tradition in Hollis’ family of playing the ZZ Top song, “La Grange”.  They had an inflatable alligator and all ended up dancing and rolling on the dance floor.  I’m not quite sure of the story behind this tradition but it was so much fun to watch!  Hollis and Joey danced up a storm with their friends and family and at the end of the night were sent off with streamers and a ride in a friend’s classic Mercedes.  I am so excited to share this fun wedding.  Congratulations to Hollis and Joey!
