Kelly & Andrew – Engagement Session at Sundance Square & Airfield FallsFort Worth, TX

Kelly and Andrew are a great match! They’re getting married next spring and I am super excited for the two of them. Here’s a little bit about the couple in their own words:

“Andrew and I met in college at Texas A&M at the end of our freshmen year through a friend of friend. We started texting back and forth over the summer. He asked me to Midnight Yell (an Aggie tradition) and we’ve basically dated since then…Andrew did a great job with the proposal. He took me out to dinner under the pretense of seeing a play in Dallas (we tend to see a play a year, so I thought nothing of it). After dinner, he surprised me by taking me to the Dallas Botanical Gardens. He had a friend blocking off a quiet row of trees and walked me down an isolated path and asked for my hand in marriage”

Patricia & Jacob – Wedding Reception at The Fort Worth ClubFort Worth, TX

Patricia, Jacob and all of their friends really know how to have fun!  I mean just look at that wedding party!  You know that with a wedding party of that size, it’s going to be a fun night.  After the ceremony, Patricia and Jacob wasted no time in getting out onto the checkered dance floor for their first dance.  They looked so happy to just be together and to finally be husband and wife.  They cut the cake and then it was a party the rest of the night.  The Project Band never disappoints and they rocked that dance floor all night long!  It was such a fun day and I am so glad to have been a part of it.  Congratulations to Patricia and Jacob!

Patricia & Jacob – Wedding Ceremony at First United Methodist ChurchFort Worth, TX

Patricia and Jacob are married and what an amazing day it was!  Everyone was so calm and just enjoying the day before the ceremony.  Patricia was absolutely breathtaking in her lace wedding gown and just looked so happy.  Her grandmother was there to help her put her sorority pin in her dress as she got ready and she had a very special veil that has been worn by the women in her family for about 100 years!  Such a cool family heirloom to pass on.  Everyone participated in a group prayer over Patricia and Jacob’s marriage and then it was time to walk down the aisle!  From that moment on, I don’t think that the smiles left their faces! Please enjoy some of my favorites from their ceremony and check back for their awesome reception!

Magenta & Caleb – Wedding Portraits at The Kimbell Art Museum & Reception at The Petroleum ClubFort Worth, TX

Fort Worth holds a special place in Caleb and Magenta’s hearts.  They said,

“We looked for unique ways to make the wedding more “us.” We both have a deep admiration for the city of Fort Worth so we selected venues that really showcased everything we love about the city.”

What is more Fort Worth that Robert Carr Chapel on TCU’s campus and the Petroleum Club that has an amazing view of downtown?  In order to keep with their Fort Worth theme, we stopped over at the Kimbell Art Museum for some more fun wedding party photos!  I love it when I get a little extra time with my couples!  These guys were so much fun and too funny on the party bus.  They probably could have kept that party going on that bus if they wanted to.  After their first dance, Magenta and Caleb said hello to all of their guests who traveled from all over to be there to celebrate with them and then the party really got started!  As promised in the toasts, we got to see some of Magetna’s sweet sweet dance moves and she did not disappoint!  I was so sad to leave the party, but I made sure to get in a photo, myself, with Caleb and Magenta.  I am so grateful that they chose me to capture their special day.  Congratulations Magenta and Caleb!

Alexis & Jesse – Engagement Session at The Art Museums & Downtown Fort WorthFort Worth, TX

Alexis and Jesse are so much fun and they are absolutely perfect for each other.  Jesse knew just what to say to get some giggles out of Alexis by whispering sweetly in her ear that she smelled like Chick-Fil-A.  I mean, there are worse things to smell like, right?  These two have known each other for most of their lives, so they know each other pretty well.  Alexis tells us in her own words about how they met and got together:

“Jesse and I have been together for two and half years, however I have known him since I was six. I met Jesse as a child when he moved in with my aunt to finish high school. It was not until three years ago when really reconnected when we were both in my cousin’s wedding. That night we talked all night at the rehearsal dinner and then went for drinks later which then lead to dancing all night long at a wedding the following day. Jesse and I dated a month before we became official, but that was easy because we were already attached at the hip.”

I loved getting to know these two and I am so excited to photograph their big day this November!

Courtney & Tyler – Wedding Reception at Van Cliburn Recital HallFort Worth, TX

After the ceremony we took a little pit stop at Bass Hall for a few more fun photos!  Courtney and Tyler then made their big entrance and it was time for the party to begin and boy, was it a party!  It’s always fun to see new and different traditions at weddings.  Courtney and Tyler are Aggies and so were a lot of their guests, so they asked all of their Aggie guests to bring their class rings to Tyler’s grooms cake for a photo.  It was neat to see so many rings together, not to mention a little nerve wracking having so much gold in one spot!  Courtney, Tyler and all of their friends and family sure know how to have a good time.  I don’t think that they dance floor was ever empty!  However, all good things must come to an end and we sent the newlyweds off to their Jamaica honeymoon through a tangled web of streamers.  It was a pretty perfect day and I’m so grateful that Courtney and Tyler trusted me to capture it for them.  Congratulations to Courtney and Tyler!

Sarah & Nick – Engagement Session in Downtown Fort Worth and Magnolia AveFort Worth, TX

Sarah and Nick met while in the marching band at TCU.  Since TCU is such a special part of their relationship, Nick chose to incorporate it into his proposal!  Here is how he did it in Sarah’s own words.

“I knew it was coming, but Nick surprised me with making it happen earlier than I thought it would be. He told me that we were going out for a surprise dinner downtown but wouldn’t say anything else. When I asked what I should wear, I started getting suspicious because he responded, “Your green shirt, blue flower pants, orange shoes, Kendra Scott earrings, and pearls!” We got in the car, and he blindfolded me, and we started driving to the TCU stadium. Much to his amusement, I was still able to tell all the roads we were turning onto, so he had to take a more convoluted route. We got out of the car, and still blindfolded, I was led into the stadium. I only figured out where we were when I heard a golf cart go by. He took me to the band section, as that was where we spend a good portion of our time together, and he had the whole area decorated. He un-blindfolded me and handed me a book that he had written and had illustrated and printed. It was a poem of our story with the last page being the proposal!! I said, “Yes!”

Not only did they meet and get engaged at TCU but they will also be getting married there next year!  I cannot wait for their big day!

Tori & Jake – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

What a beautiful night!  Tori and Jake held their reception at the amazing Ashton Depot.  It was lit all warm and glowy, which was the perfect backdrop as they shared their first dance under the chandeliers.  Tori’s dad gave a sweet toast and welcomed Jake into their family, then the party was on!  We had so much fun on the dance floor with this group!  Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and everyone lined up outside as Tori and Jake shared their private last dance.  They then were sent off to start their new lives together!  Thanks so much for letting me capture your big day! Congratulations!

Jeanette & JB – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

With all of the beautiful architecture and chandeliers, it’s hard not to love weddings at The Ashton Depot!  Jeanette and JB took full advantage of the outdoor space and had beautiful lounge furniture for guests to use during cocktail hour.  The purple color scheme continued on inside with the rich colors decorating each table.  With the big chandeliers hanging overhead and the beautiful doors as the perfect backdrop, guests had quite the view.  After cocktail hour, guests made their way to their seats and cheered as the newlyweds were introduced into the reception and their first dance.  After dinner it was time to get the party started, and with DJ Andy Austin at the controls it’s always a good party!  With the dance floor rocking so hard we only got a minute or two to step outside to get a few fun night shots of the outside of the building and downtown Fort Worth and then back to the party we went!  At the end of the night Jeanette and JB shared a private last dance before being sent off to start their new life!  Congratulations Jeanette and JB!

Jeanette & JB – Wedding Ceremony at First Christian ChurchFort Worth, TX

They are married!  Jeanette and JB were married at The First Christian Church in Downtown Fort Worth.  They chose a color palette of purples that contrasted nicely against the light gray of the guys’ suits.  I loved seeing the close relationship between these two and their families.  It was apparent throughout the whole day how important family is from getting ready all the way to the end of the reception.  Check out the images below and see just how sweet this day truly was!
