Christine & Trey – Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Christine and Trey love each other so much! You can see it in the way they look at each other and how much fun they have together. Here’s a bit of their story that gives some insight into their relationship:

“Trey and Christine met while attending TCU. It all started when they were in the same line purchasing some goodies at Kroger. Trey was two dollars short and Christine had two to spare. Although a short encounter, she was then known to him as ‘Two Dollar Girl’ and he searched high and low for her, to no avail. Then one night, Trey was walking back home from the library and ran into Christine and her friend…but both continued without realizing they had met before. The third and final ‘first’ encounter came when they were both out one night, and Christine decided to take a red hat off a stranger (Trey). Trey saw her and screamed, ‘You are two dollar girl!’….That night, Mario Kart was played, songs were sung, dances were danced, and their lives were forever changed”

This was a behind-the-camera-crying sort of day for me, so if you like heartfelt moments between a beautiful bride and groom (plus their friends and family) continue scrolling 🙂

Claudia & Patrick – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

Even though we, as vendors, may work at some of the same venues frequently, it does not mean that every wedding is the same.  I enjoy getting to see each event come together with special touches from the couple.  Different things about the day are special to different people and it’s fun for me to get to photograph what is special to each couple.  For Claudia and Patrick it was definitely about the people.  Their guests came from all over and I know they were excited to have everyone in one room!  Claudia says this about her wedding day:

” Our wedding will be a giant melting pot from all over, and that is going to be such an awesome thing! The bride’s side will have a strong Texas, and particularly UT Longhorn showing, as I grew up in Colleyville, TX and then went to school at the The University of Texas in Austin. In addition, both of my parents are from La Paz, Bolivia and actually a good number of my family members still live in South America and will hopefully be able to come up for the wedding. So that will add some good Latin flavor to the Texas melting pot! So now, moving on to the groom’s side… Patrick is my southern gentleman, born and raised in Mobile, AL. After high school, he went to college at the Citadel in Charleston, SC, and then spent some time working in Atlanta, GA, before going back to school in Birmingham, AL. So he has essentially been all around the Southeast and we will have guests from pretty much all of those cities! So to summarize our melting pot; we will have some Texan, some Latin, and some Southern. It is going to be awesome!! And on a more serious tone, we both acknowledge and greatly appreciate the fact that our wedding day is going to be one of the few times in our life together that we will be able to get all of our family and loved ones together in one place. Having everyone in one room to celebrate together with us will most definitely be one of the top highlights of our big day.  We have asked a Patrick’s hometown priest, and long-time friend of his family, Father Dan Good, to marry us in a full mass wedding. With both of us growing up Catholic, this is an important one for us, and I think an awesome way to bring some of Mobile to the wedding. I also plan to walk down the aisle with my grandma’s rosary around my bouquet. I don’t know what my bouquet will look like yet, but my Abu Chachi has always been one my favorite people and having her rosary with me will be very special.”

Enjoy some of my favorite images from their fun reception!

Claudia & Patrick – Wedding First Look and Ceremony at Robert Carr ChapelFort Worth, TX

Claudia and Patrick are married and I could not be happier to show off the images from their beautiful wedding!  I have loved getting to know this sweet couple throughout their wedding planning journey.  After crazy amounts of rain, heat and humidity all week I’d say it safe to say that they were blessed with pretty amazing weather.  Good thing too, because we had a lot of outdoor photos planned, starting with the first look!  I love first looks.  I love being the only one who gets to witness and document this special moment between a bride and groom.  With nobody else watching, it gives the couple time to be together and maybe calm each other’s nerves before all of the festivities really begin.  Claudia and Patrick were so sweet and excited to see each other.  I loved how excited Claudia was to show off her dress to her future husband.  We spent some time before the ceremony taking many fun photos around Robert Carr and on TCU’s campus.  Before we knew it, it was time to walk down the aisle.  The ceremony was made just a little more special since Patrick’s hometown priest was the one marrying them.  They had a full mass ceremony and Father Dan did an incredible job of making everyone feel right at home.  After all of the vows, ring exchanges, communion and prayers were said and done, Patrick and Claudia were pronounced husband and wife!  Please enjoy some of my favorite images from their first look and ceremony and learn a little bit about this amazing couple!

“We both love seeing new places! Which is something I truly love about Patrick; he is always open to a new adventure. Traveling for work, and us both being from different places, has allowed us the privilege to see all kinds of places together on weekends! A few being: Charleston, Philadelphia, Nashville, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Florida, and multiple trips across Alabama and Texas. On the flip side, we also have a love for laying on the couch, watching The Office, and eating guacamole.” – Claudia

Amy & John – Wedding Reception at Arlington HallDallas, TX

Time to party!  Since John is an executive chef at Nick and Sam’s Steakhouse, naturally they catered their reception with so many yummy dishes!  They even had a pig roasting outside and had a taco bar from their favorite taco place!  It’s safe to say that food was an important part of their big day and I think everyone definitely enjoyed it!  In addition to the great food, after the cake cutting, everyone enjoyed a dazzling fireworks show put on by Pyrotex.  What an amazing night full of fun, family and friends.  Amy and John shared one last private dance together before heading off on their honeymoon.

“Our time together is spent either grocery shopping, cooking (me watching him cook lol), going to the park with our yellow lab Hank, or with friends. I tell him that I enjoy his company so much, we could pick trash up on the side of the highway and I’d be happy. I just adore him!!!!” -Amy

Congratulations to Amy and  John!

Amy & John – Wedding First Look and Ceremony at Arlington HallDallas, TX

Amy and John are married!  It was such a pleasure getting to work with these two.  They are one of those couples who just enjoy being together and in each other’s company.  You could definitely tell a difference on the wedding day once they finally got to see each other during their first look.  Once they were together it was like nothing else really mattered except that they were together.  I love how Amy talks about how John proposed to her.  Here is their story in her own words:

“So while I knew engagement and wedding was ahead for us, I did not think it would happen until after Easter at the earliest, since that was the next time he was going to see my dad and “get his blessing.”
All of the “firsts” or big dates in our relationship have happened on the 25th of a month. John is a chef and only has Sundays and Mondays off, and since he worked Valentines for everyone else, he said we should have our own special day for us and just make it Feb 25th. So he had planned a nice dinner and a show for us on Sun, Feb 25th which I looked online and has decided was probably Frankenstein at the Winspear since Young Frankenstein was maybe the 2nd movie we watched together when we started dating. He had said we had early dinner reservations at Trulucks and the timing made sense with the 7:30 show. When the waiter greeted us, John let him we know we had somewhere we had to be after dinner and that it would be best if we left by 6:30. I told the waiter “no, no, it’s not that urgent, the show we are going to isn’t until 7:30, we have time.” John just looked at my startled and was like “what? What are you doing?” I was like, “honey I know we are going to Frankenstein, I googled shows tonight and figured it out. It starts at 7:30 so we have time.” He again asked the waiter if we could be closed out around then. When we left Trulucks we took an Uber towards Klyde Warren Park and he asked if we could be let out early since it was a nice night and we could walk through the park. We are walking trough and he said “I know I told you your Valentines would be late, and before we leave here I wanted to give you this:”. And it was an envelope with a printout saying we were getting seats to the Justin Timberlake concert but date and location of seats was TBD. I was so excited because we had last talked about it and decided the tickets were too expensive. He then starts asking me if I really read the print out. I was like yeah, we are going but the details are unknown. He tells me to read it again so I do. Meanwhile I don’t notice he is starting to say something about how happy he has been with me and that he had something he planned to say but couldn’t and starts kneeling and reaching inside his coat pocket…the next thing I know there is a ring in front of me, the lid on the ring’s box fell off, and people with cameras are running up to us taking photographs!! I was stunned. He asked if I would marry him and my eyes were huge and I said “JOHN. You haven’t asked my dad!” He said “yes I did—I drove to your parents house on Monday on my day off.” I was in tears. He spent his day off driving 3.5 hours to their house in Houston and 3.5 hours back on Monday while he was off work and I was at work to ask for my parents blessing!!!! He then got us an Uber to a favorite dive bar of ours where our friends and family were waiting, AND he had reached out to my boss ahead of time to get me the next morning off from work!! “

Check back for more photos of their amazing reception!

Megan & Chad – Wedding Reception at City Club Fort WorthFort Worth, TX

Megan and Chad held their intimate reception in the Oak Room of City Club Fort Worth.  It was romantically lit with candlelight with a view of downtown and was the perfect setting for their celebration.  With DJ Nate Nelson spinning the tunes,  you know that Megan and Chad had a fun party!  They and all of their guests enjoyed being out on the dance floor and I don’t think anyone wanted the party to end.  But all good things must come to an end and Megan and Chad ended their big day by sharing a private last dance.  It was definitely one of the sweetest moments of the night.  They got to be together, just the two of them, and soak in the day.  Chad held Megan close as she teared up from all of the joy of the day.  I love that I am one of the only people who gets to witness this moment.  After their dance they were sent off through a cloud of flutterfetti to start their new lives together!  I am so glad that I had the opportunity to capture such a special day for such a sweet and loving couple.  Enjoy some of my favorites from their City Club reception!

Megan & Chad – Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel, TCUFort Worth, TX

Man oh man, what a great day!  I am so excited to share Megan and Chad’s wedding day.  Megan’s dress was simple and classic with a fabulous train that moved like it was floating in the wind.  She wanted to wait until she was in it before her bridesmaids could see it and boy, were they excited!  She looked so stunning and is just a natural beauty anyway.  After getting dressed, both Megan and Chad opened notes they had written to each other and exchanged gifts.  This is always one of my favorite moments because even though they aren’t near each other they are reading the words of the other person that was meant only for them on the most special day of their lives.  I love seeing them smile, laugh, giggle and cry at the words written for them. Finally it was time for them to get married!  The ceremony was held at Robert Carr Chapel at TCU and was absolutely beautiful.  I loved watching Megan’s mom’s face as her dad gave her away and Chad took her up to the altar.  There was so much love and sense of family throughout this whole day and I always enjoy being able to witness it.  Please enjoy some of my favorite images from their ceremony and check out their City Club reception!

Nayane & Vitor – Ceremony and Reception at Hidden Pines ChapelFlower Mound, Texas

This wedding was such a beautiful day full of love, excitement, and fun Brazilian tradition!  These two tied the knot at Hidden Pines Chapel and had a beautiful ceremony in Portuguese.  After the ceremony they had a relaxed reception that included a fun Brazilian tradition of auctioning off a tie to raise money for the couple.  I enjoyed being able to photograph this sweet couple and I hope you enjoy some of my favorite moments!
