Jessica & Rob – Engagement Session in Sundance Square and the StockyardsFort Worth, TX

I loved getting to know Jessica and Rob during their engagement shoot downtown and in the stockyards.  They laughed the whole time, even though it was quite warm, which was very sweet!  Here’s how they met:

“We met 5 years ago (April 2013) in Addison, Texas at Sherlocks. Rob is the guitarist for an 80s cover band called the Mullet Boyz and I was out with one of my friends – thought he was cute, so we stuck around and watched the show. Afterward we talked for a bit and exchanged numbers. A week later, he was playing another show in the area and invited me to come out – and rest is history!”

I can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Brittany & Rich – Engagement Session at the Kimbell Art Museum & Trinity ParkFort Worth, Texas

Brittany and Rich are just about as cute as it gets!  When we rolled up to the Kimbell Art Museum for the first part of our session, the weather was not looking so hot, but we stuck it out and it turned out to be perfect!

Here is how these two met:

“Rich and I met at the University of Oklahoma. Although we were friends and ran in the same circles, we did not date during our time there. Rich graduated and went on to law school while I was in my senior year. That December in 2013, OU went to the Sugar Bowl and played Alabama in New Orleans. We ran into each other there and the spark ignited. From then on, we were talking constantly.
Once summer rolled around, I went home to Coppell and Rich came home to Fort Worth. Rich was very persistent about getting to know me better and that’s when we started officially dating. That whole summer we were inseparable, fell in love quickly, and the rest is history.”

I loved getting to know them during their session and can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Allison & Amir – Engagement Session at the Dallas Arboretum and White Rock LakeDallas, Texas

Allison and Amir traveled from Midland, where they both live and work, for their engagement session.  These two Tech graduates have a sweet story of how they met:

“Amir and I met six years ago at Texas Tech University. I joined Alpha Chi Omega Sorority my first year at TTU. I kept running into Amir at Sigma Nu Fraternity parties through mutual friends. When we had our first conversation it felt like we were the only ones in the room, even though it was filled with at least one hundred people. We had such a memorable two years at TTU together; from attending each others date parties, to cheering on our Red Raiders on the football field.”

I’m excited to share some of my favorite images from their session and can’t wait for their wedding!

Kelsey & Kal – Reception at the Piazza in the VillageMcKinney, Texas

Some of my favorite moments of a wedding day happen at the reception!  Check out Kal’s dance moves as he rocked it on the dance floor!  These two had a beautiful dance and I was honored to capture all the special moments.  Take a look a some of my favorite photos from the reception!

Lindsey & Kurt – Reception at the 4 ElevenFort Worth, Texas

Lindsey wore her mother’s wedding dress, but had some alterations to it to make it more modern.  I love it when couples incorporate their pairent’s weddings into their day!  After they entered the reception, Lindsey and Kurt started their first dance as husband and wife.  As the song ended Kurt picked her up and spun her around! Such a sweet gesture!  The party got started, and let me tell you, that dance floor was packed the entire night! Even Super Frog was on the dance floor!  Take a look at some of my favorite moments from their reception.

Lauren – Bridal Portraits at Fort Worth ClubDowntown Fort Worth

Lauren is not only a beautiful bride, but she is also one who couldn’t help beaming with excitement and joy during her bridal portraits at Fort Worth Club. It helped that her friend and fellow hair dresser was there with her for both moral support, and the occasional flyaway fix, ensuring that she looked her best, felt fabulous, and had so much fun throughout her bridal session.

I loved how the architecture of the club made a great compliment to the intricate detailing on her A-line lace dress. In fact, beautiful dangling earrings and a colorful bouquet of pink roses and white hydrangea were all she needed to complete her perfect spring bridal look.

Lauren, you are a gorgeous bride and model, inside and out. Congratulations!

Makayla & Nick – Engagement Session in Magnolia Area and a Fort Worth ParkFort Worth, TX

Makayla and Nick are quite the dynamic duo. Besides owning their own business, and raising two precious little ones, they recently launched their very own podcast, too! It’s aimed at helping other busy entrepreneurs, like themselves, navigate the work-life balance with humor and grace, which they are definitely doing.

With so much on their plate, it was fun to make this engagement-style couples session double as a date night for the adventurous pair, complete with a coffee break and a sunset stroll through a beautiful park. (We even squeezed in a few headshots, too. Talk about epic multitasking!)

Though they could clearly add modeling to their resumes, and totally rocked the smoldering stare, when asked, my favorite images of them are the ones where they’re giggling and cuddling, ’cause that seems to be their natural state, side-by-side, laughing their way through life.

Thanks for a fun night, you guys! And congratulations on your new venture.

Katie & Keegan – Engagement Session at the Kimbell Art Musuem & Magnolia AreaFort Worth, TX

“Keegan and I went to high school together; he actually asked me out once but I was grounded! Fast forward to right after college and we ran into each other at a party and reconnected. He lived in Austin and I was in Arlington but we became good friends and kept in touch over the years. We started dating in February of 2016 and did long distance. I moved to Austin in November 2016 and we got engaged in April of 2017” – Katie

These two get married this summer and I am pumped!  Here are some of my favorite moments from their session!

Emilee & Rodge – Engagement Session at Stockyards Station and Sundance SquareFort Worth, TX

Emilee and Rodge are totally the kind of couple that just can’t help but smiling and laughing when they’re together. As a photographer, that made their engagement session in Fort Worth a lot of fun for all of us.

Of course, it might have helped that we went right back where Rodge popped the question, over the winter, under the sign at Stockyards Station! In fact, after we watched the daily stampede, we made sure to get several photographs in that very special spot.

Though it was still a bit chilly outside, they were such troopers braving the cold water in Sundance Square, so we could make sure and show off their new wedding day boots. I love their great sense of style, and how they snuggled up to keep warm. Congrats you two! I know your wedding is going to be something special.
