Using Your Reception Space for Getting Ready

Emma + Matthew

Getting Ready at Fort Worth Club and Ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel

Before going to the chapel on your wedding day, you’ll probably want to have some prep time with your friends. From hair and makeup to reading a sweet note from your soon-to-be-spouse, the getting ready portion of your wedding day is going to fly by. It’s also going to be some of the sweetest moments you’ll share with your absolute favorite people.

That’s why the location matters.

In many cases, a church or chapel’s bridal rooms are meant to give you just enough space to hide out before the ceremony begins. They’re often not equipped for a team of hair and makeup artists or for a Texas-sized wedding party to comfortably hang out leading up to the wedding itself.

While many of our couples opt to get ready in spacious hotel suites, another great option could be your reception space.

If you have the venue reserved for the whole day, anyways, it’s worth investigating the getting ready spaces, as well. In some cases, it can be an ideal location for both you and your groom to get ready. It might even double as a beautiful and private spot for a first look, as was the case for Emma and Matthew who opted to get ready at their reception venue, The Fort Worth Club.

So if you are needing a comfortable and picturesque place to get ready on your wedding day, it’s definitely worth checking out the options your reception venue provides.
