I knew heading into Meredith and Scott’s big day that we were going to have a lot of fun. How could you not with these two? Still, even I was surprised just what a great time everyone had at their reception!
After their ceremony, we explored the area a bit, and even made time to stop and pet a very friendly and fluffy dog before they made their grand entrance back at The Carlisle Room.
There they shared their first dance and laughed through toasts, before getting to rock out to The Rich Girls. And those guys and girl definitely know how to throw a party. That’s for sure. Plus, they’re one of the couple’s favorite bands to go see around Dallas, so it was only fitting that they play a part in their wedding.
Their friends and family got to boogie down to Hall & Oates classics and 80’s hits, and even go home with custom Koozies inspired by their classic lyrics. But the highlight of the night might just have been when Meredith surprised everyone with a turn on the microphone. (Did I mention she’s a pianist and vocalist?)
To end the night, they had a sparkler exit and Scott gave one of those downtown scooters a try, briefly. It truly was like a dream come true. And I’m so thankful I got to be part of the fun!
Congratulations Meredith and Scott. I have had such a blast getting to know you, and I can’t wait to see what comes next for you guys, and of course your precious puppy Emma!
