I love documenting proposals, there is nothing like the surprise and secrecy of waiting for that moment when he FINALLY goes to one knee and out comes the ring – the tears, the laughter, the YES!!!! This proposal was super near and dear to my heart though – this lovely bride to be is our very own Annie – my associate photographer and dear friend. When I heard the whispers of the proposal and their coming engagement I knew that Amanda and I had to be a part of this very special day. A little message on Facebook to Josh led to us helping document this emotionally charged proposal and doing some sneaking around to make sure Annie looked gorgeous. I was so tricky I even had a reason for her to have her makeup professionally done by Fallon Farmer with Love & Pout Makeup and made sure she was super fancy!
Along with Thirteen Media we followed Annie on and adventure around Fort Worth where she visited spots that were tied into Josh & Annie’s courting and at each spot she had a surprise! Josh is a big hearted guy (I am really super happy he is marrying my girl – I am in tears writing this!!!) and he exposed all of his softness for this day. Not only did he take her on a scavenger hunt but at each location he had a married couple that they are friends with there to greet her, give her a gift and ask her a question. Before hand Josh had Thirteen Media record him answering the same questions. It was pretty freakin sweet and romantic!! If you like crying happy tears for someone you don’t even know – you have been warned – watch the video below! Our photos show the fun and the emotion and the highlights but the video that Thirteen Media created along side us really reveals the love that Annie & Josh have for each other, the Lord and their community.
I am on the edge of my seat in anticipation to watch my Annie marry Josh on April 30th! Love you guys and congrats!!!!
How adorable are Nora and Ryan? I am so excited to share their wedding photos today! They had a beautiful small ceremony at the always gorgeous, Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth. I always love photographing at this chapel for so many reasons, but one is that I am able to so easily capture the faces of my brides and grooms. Nora and Ryan were so cute during the ceremony, quickly stealing little glances at each other that only I and the wedding party could see. After their ceremony they and their guests headed over to the Worthington for a nice reception that had a really cute Disney’s “UP” theme. Nora even had little pins made that are just like the ones in the movie! They are big Disney fans and even spent part of their honeymoon at Disney World! I’m so jealous!! Before we sent them off to the happiest place on Earth, we had to get a few photos in Downtown Fort Worth. Please enjoy some of my favorites from the first day of their biggest adventure!

I am so excited to share Sarah & Nick’s engagement photos and I cannot wait until their wedding next month. Sarah & Nick wanted to include their dogs Murphy and Obie in their session and of course I am always a fan of dogs in pictures. I loved watching Nick delight in getting to snuggle and kiss on Sarah during their session. Here are some of my favorites.
I am so excited for Rebecca and Mark’s upcoming wedding in March. They are such a fun couple and wanted to embrace some of their special moments during their engagement session. We went to their first date location at Bird Cafe as well as to Mark’s old loft where they had their first kiss as well as where they got engaged.
Carla & Jason’s reception was held at the beautiful Ashton Depot. They and their guests enjoyed all kinds of different music provided by LeForce Entertainment, including some traditional Hispanic songs and dances like the snake dance. They also serenaded their family and friends with a mariachi band! After an amazing night of fun and dancing, Carla & Jason weren’t done. They wanted to get some cool night portraits, so we braved the cold and headed down to Sundance Square in Downtown Fort Worth. I loved being able to take some fun photos of them in all of the lights of downtown! Please enjoy some of my favorites from their fall wedding.
Thanks to all of the amazing vendors!

We had quite the experience trying to get Melissa & Michael’s engagement session photographed. Due to the massive amount of storms and rain Texas has seen lately every day we scheduled their session for it ended up raining. The day we ended up doing their session it rained about an hour before we started but luckily the skies cleared with just enough time to photograph them at the Botanic Gardens and then headed to downtown Sundance Square and ended up even in the same spot Michael proposed to Melissa. Here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.
I am so excited to get to share Madeline and Colin’s engagement session. Seriously, these two couldn’t have been any cuter and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Madeline and Colin met at TCU in their Stats class and will be graduating this year. They will not be getting married here in Texas, which makes me sad, but up in Oregon where Madeline is from. From what they’ve told me about their wedding day, it is going to be simply beautiful and I’m totally jealous that I won’t be photographing their big day. I feel so honored to have had the chance to meet them and photograph their engagement session. Please enjoy some of my favorites!
