I had so much fun last week when I shot Sara & Brad’s engagement session in Downtown Fort Worth and their new home they had just closed on. I actually live in the same neighborhood as their new home so we talked a lot about the area and I am so excited that for their wedding they chose to use many vendors from the same neighborhood.  I love how Sara & Brad were constantly making each other laugh and how they just enjoy being silly. Here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.

I was so excited last week to meet Jessica and Bryant. I had spoken with Jessica several times over the phone in the last few months talking in preparation for their wedding. Jessica & Bryant met when they lived in Arlington and are now currently out in San Diego since Bryant is in the Marines. They have been planning their wedding from afar and am so excited to photograph it this upcoming weekend at The Piazza in the Village.  They wanted to show off their city and country sides so we started in Downtown Fort Worth and then went back to Bryant’s parent’s house where they have a beautiful six acres of land that includes chickens. I was especially excited about the chickens! Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session.

Meg & Corey are an adorable couple who got married at her grandfather’s home recently. Meg’s grandfather’s house they got married at is actually built exactly the same as the plantation house her grandparents had in Oklahoma.  Meg included many items from her family in her wedding day, her dress was made from part of her aunt’s wedding gown, she wore her mother’s bracelet and included a family broach on her bouquet.   Meg & Corey  are a couple who can not get enough of each other and decided to do a first look before their ceremony since they didn’t want to be apart for so long.  I loved that the minute Meg saw Corey waiting for her she just ran to him in excitement. Heather and Ed’s wedding was definitely one of my favorite weddings to photograph this year. I could really go on and on about it! These two had a Halloween themed wedding at a private residence and a great big party at Off the Grid in Dallas. They had a fabulous team of vendors that made really this day a success. Kelly with Sweet Pea Events coordinated the whole event while Heather and Ed live in Chicago, Colby Logan at Astounding Sounds did their lighting and DJ, DiFiori created some fabulously unique flower arrangements, Panini Bakery made a very spooky cake and Gil’s Elegant Catering provided the fantastic food!

Their ceremony was such a sweet affair. There were definitely tears from me as well as the bride and groom. One of my favorite moments was when Ed wiped Heather’s tears as she said her vows to him. Another funny moment was watching Heather and Ed kiss before they were pronounced husband and wife-the preacher had to point this out as he pronounced them exclaiming, “Ed, you may kiss your bride-again!” They just couldn’t keep their hands off each other! Heather and Ed are not just joining as a couple, but as a family with their three children. These kids were too cute and were so excited for their mommy and daddy. I am so excited to share these photos from Claire & Brent’s wedding at The Village Church in Dallas with the reception at Brent’s mom’s house in Frisco.  Claire & Brent are so sweet and loving towards each other and I was so privileged to get to be a part of their day. As I edited their photos this past week I couldn’t help but tear up at the look of love and pride on their families faces as they watched Claire and Brent throughout the day. This week I went over to my brother and sister in laws house to photography my nephew Miles who turned 1 yesterday.  I was so excited since the first time I did for a portrait session for Miles. He has been such a blessing to our family and I can’t wait to see who he becomes, if he is going to have be strong willed like his big sis Audrey. Last weekend I went out to Joel and Julie’s Home for a party celebrating Julie’s birthday. Joel had the home decorated with all her favorite things from her favorite flowers, drinks, color and food catered by City Club Catering. It was a beautiful evening, surrounded by her family and close friends. We always love the treat of photographing small private events like this.  I just adored her favorite things and her husband was so sweet to pull together this amazing party for her.  Here are some photos of her family and some of her favorite things.

I love this family and this darling little girl.  Earlier this month I took photos of Avery Elizabeth solo but we had to get Dad and the grandparents in for some family photo action so we did another session last week.  It was great seeing Max, who I hadn’t seen since the wedding, and catching up with Jennifer’s parents.  They are just amazing people and I really enjoy their company.  Avery was a doll and showed off her new tricks.  In just 3 weeks it is amazing the changes a baby makes, now she was doing little baby push ups and rolling over like you wouldn’t believe.  Can’t wait to see her sitting and crawling around!

Ginny and Blake’s reception was a non stop dance party.  The band the Party Machine kept everyone dancing all night long. Although we did stop for something unique during the reception. Ginny and Blake decided to light off Chinese fire lanterns with their guests. They chose the chines fire lanterns because it signifies blessings for the start of the Ginny and Blake’s new life as husband and wife. We did have a few close calls while letting them go into the air but they were a beautiful site watching the lanterns float off. Ginny and Blake also dedicated the last song of the evening to their parents for everything they have done for them and ended it by twisting and shouting with them. Last weekend I had such a blast photographing Ginny and Blake’s wedding. Ginny and Blake’s day was full of non stop laughter and love.  Ginny and Blake have known each other since high school and you could tell how close their families are and how they enjoyed being with each other. It was such a fabulous day coordinated by Kay Watson and her team.
