Last week I met up with Jaclyn & Javier at the beautiful Clark Gardens. We had several interesting encounters during their session. We ran into hundreds of daddy long legs, sat in some ants and ran into some geese and a peacock. We tried to get the geese in the photos but they just wanted to run away from us. I loved getting to photograph MK & Charlie last week.  We had already rescheduled their session once because of the rain and when the tornadoes hit the metroplex on Tuesday we worried we would have to reschedule again. However the sky cleared and gave us a beautiful day on Wednesday.  MK & Charlie wanted a rustic and urban feel for their photos. We started a Van Zandt Cottage which is one of my favorite places in the city. We then went to some urban walls near by our studio. I loved the scrabble pieces they brought along with them which we used playing  around with spelling a few different words.  Here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.

Lauren and Davin have one of my favorite stories of how they met. Lauren and Devin actually met about 11 years ago at church camp on the beaches of Florida.  They then kept in touch over the years even though Devin lived in Louisiana and Lauren lived in Texas.  Then a few years ago Lauren made the decision to move to Louisiana and be with Devin. Lauren and Devin will be getting married this upcoming September in Fort Worth and I am so excited for their wedding. Here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.

I am so excited to share these photos of Tyler & Brian I took last we as we went around Deep Ellum. The fun colored walls matched Tyler’s bright smile and with Brian having a music background it was the perfect location for them both.  Brian had Tyler giggling constantly and I couldn’t help but smile myself their whole session with how in love they are. After Deep Ellum we headed to the Dallas Museum of Art where Tyler and Brian had their first date after reconnecting after high school. Justine and David are so bright and bubbly and just love enjoying life so I loved that when I met up with them in Dallas we started our session in Deep Ellum with the bright and colorful walls. We then headed to the Bishop Arts District where they enjoyed a drink at Tillman’s Restaurant. I loved their idea for their save the date where the made their own labels for the back of their TOMS shoes.  It was something very unique and just matched who they are. This past Sunday I had an adventure with Kimberly & Rob. We started by going to Trinity Park and climbing on the railroad tracks there. We then went to various urban walls near our studio. We bonded over our love for the show GREEK which Kimberly and Rob described their relationship as the two main characters involving rival fraternities and sororities.  I always love hearing the stories of how our couples met and Kimberly and Rob were friends for years and started dating about 8 months ago and knew they were meant to be together.

I love it when an engagement session starts off with lots of laughter like my session with Keshia and Jason. We started the day at some of my favorite colorful walls which matched their bright fun loving personalities.  I am so excited to be photographing their wedding next year I know they will just make each other  laugh the whole day. I love when my couples come to me with something new. I met with Andrea and Adam last week for their session and she wanted to show them in their everyday work attire. She is a personal trainer and he sells dental equipment so we started around the studio in her work out attire and he in business wear.  They are also sending out invites for their wedding and wanted to include their date in their photos so we played with canvas’s of the date.  We then went to one of our favorite abandoned building (one of the few that is still standing) and then to the Fort Worth Stockyards. I love how close Andrea and Adam are and how they knew from the minute they met at church they were going to get married. I am so excited for their wedding in October and here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.

I am so excited to share the photos from Erin & Danny’s engagement session. I love how musical they are making everything. Danny brought his guitar along so I coaxed him into singing for Erin during their session. Erin comes from an Irish family and she tells me there may be traditional Irish dancing at their wedding reception. Here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.

Last week I met up with Claire and Brent in downtown Dallas for their engagement session. Claire is originally from New York City and when I initially  met with them they told me how her family thinks Texas is all country so for their session I decided we needed to show off Dallas as a city.  Claire and Brent are so naturally cuddly and affectionate with each other I didn’t have to give much prompting for them to kiss or snuggle.
