There’s something incredibly meaningful about photographing three (sometimes four!) generations together. The Roberts family chose the beautiful campus of TCU in Fort Worth for their multi-generational session, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. The classic architecture and tree-lined walkways created a timeless setting for images that will only grow more valuable with time.
At Lightly Photography, we know sessions like this can feel overwhelming. Coordinating schedules. Outfits. Making sure grandparents feel comfortable. Keeping little ones engaged. That’s why our approach is guided and efficient from start to finish.
CJ did an incredible job gently directing each grouping so no one felt awkward or unsure of what to do. We captured the full family together first (always our priority!), then broke into smaller combinations—grandparents with grandkids, siblings, and each individual family unit. The result? A gallery filled with connection, laughter, and those quiet in-between moments that matter most.
Why multi-generational sessions matter:
These photos become part of your family’s legacy. They freeze the season you’re in right now—tiny hands in grandpa’s, mom’s arm wrapped around her grown daughter, cousins giggling between poses. Years from now, these will be the images everyone is grateful you took the time to create.
The Roberts family now has a collection of beautifully captured images that tell their story—together.
