When it comes to your wedding reception, few things will have a bigger impact on your guests’ experience than who you pick for entertainment. Band or DJ, knowing the kind of vibe you want to create can really help you pick professionals that will create the ambience you want, whether you’re going for chill, cocktail lounge vibes, or a full-blown dance party!
In Judith and Shane’s case, they opted for a talented DJ who could combine live performance with a more traditional DJ-set catered to their musical taste. This meant there were times they were serenaded over the keyboard, like during their private last dance. But they also got to pack the dance floor with their friends and family to a mix of 80s and 90s classics, a little bit of Texas country and some Latina dance hits mixed in for good measure.
One other fun addition, though, was their use of a mariachi band to play as they entered their reception, and to entertain guests during the dinner portion of the night. This was such a fun nod to Judith’s heritage, and one other way the couple incorporated live music into their guests’ evening, making for a memorable and fun night!
