It’s rare that we get to shoot an engagement session at a couple’s wedding venue, but that’s exactly what Kristen and Noah opted for when we were planning their fall session. And I’m so glad.
It proved a wonderful chance for us to explore their wedding venue together, giving us a jumpstart on perfect locations for portraits on their wedding day. But it also provided a nice, private space to capture a mix of nature and architectural elements. And while I love downtown McKinney, it can be packed, even during the week. This private space was just perfect for lots of romantic moments… you know, with a third wheel, a.k.a. me and my camera.
If you’re planning a wedding at a venue you absolutely love, especially one with a mix of great indoor and outdoor spaces, taking advantage of the chance to shoot your engagement photos (or your bridal session!) there can be a great option.
