Veronica and Charlie came into our Fort Worth studio to celebrate something worth marking twice over — both of their birthdays, and the friendship they share as mother and daughter.
We kept everything simple on purpose. Clean, uncomplicated outfits and a studio setting meant nothing competed with the two of them, so the posing and their personalities could tell the whole story. Watching the way they laughed, leaned in, and moved together was the best part — that easy connection is exactly what these portraits are about.
So often, moms are the ones behind the camera capturing everyone else, and getting in front of it can feel intimidating. But a session like this is one that will be treasured for years to come. A mommy-and-me session can be a mother with one child or a mother with all of her children, and it is perfect at any age and stage of their lives. If you have been thinking about it, this is your reminder to get in the frame — you will be so glad you did.
To close out the celebration, we ended with a confetti cannon — the perfect way to mark this birthday milestone and all the amazing years still ahead in their friendship and their mother-daughter relationship.
