Be Sage 2025 Welcome Party at Fairmont Mayakoba
First nights set the tone for everything that follows. As attendees arrived at Fairmont Mayakoba for the 2025 Be Sage Conference, the welcome party gathered everyone under the Riviera Maya sky for a warm, unhurried opening to the week.
We photographed it all as it unfolded — the thoughtful details that set the scene, the first hellos and long-overdue reunions between people who only see each other once a year, and the easy new introductions a good welcome party makes possible. Set against the resort’s canals and tropical greenery, the evening had a distinctly local sense of place, and we made time for relaxed portraits of attendees as they mingled.
A welcome party is where a conference stops being a schedule and becomes an experience. Capturing it means reading the room — the toast, the laughter, the quiet corner conversations, the way the light shifts as the evening settles in. These images give the host something to remember the mood by, and give attendees a picture of the community they just stepped into.
