Dove Ridge Vineyard
Choosing a place to get ready on your wedding day may seem like one of the least important decisions you’ll make, but it can actually make a huge difference in how your photos turn out and how smoothly your day starts off. Many venues will have their own version of a bridal suite, but you’ll want to take into consideration how big the room is, how many people you have in your wedding party and how many hair and makeup artists, photographers and videographers will be sharing that space. You may only have 4 in your bridal party but that can quickly turn into 10-15 people. You’ll also want to make sure you consider what the lighting situation in the space is. All of your vendors will benefit from a lot of natural light. The more windows and natural light in a space means that we can all spread out a little bit and don’t all have to cram everything by the only window in the room. If you feel like your venue’s bridal suite is too small, too dark or they don’t really have one, we always suggest looking into hotel suites or air bnb’s. Both options are great for having your wedding party close by and having a place to stay the night both after the rehearsal and after the wedding.
Megan chose to book an air bnb that was close to her venue and it was big enough for her bridal party to spread out and be comfortable and also had a ton of natural light for all vendors to create their best work! Bonus points for having a pool to chill out in all weekend!
