Some of my favorite parts of a wedding day (I have a lot) are photographing the couple alone, we call those “romantics”, and the reception details! In my previous post I spoke about having a break between your ceremony and reception. This is something my Catholic couples often choose to do in order to have their reception at a more ideal time and to give their guests a little time between an hour long ceremony and heading to the reception. This give us a nice chunk of time to dedicate to photos! We love having enough time to be able to take you to an entirely different location for some portraits. For example, Diane and Blake chose to stop over by the Winspear because they liked the look of the buildings downtown and the reflecting pool. It doesn’t have to be a lot of time, just 15-20 minutes at the most is plenty of time for us to work our magic and get some amazing shots! Then we usually still have time to get photos of you seeing your reception space for the first time. It’s always so fun to see all of your plans come together and we love capturing your excitement seeing it.
