Kinzi and Taylor’s wedding day was not only beautiful. It was also so much fun, and incredibly sweet. Kinzi shed happy tears as she was getting ready, just thinking about becoming Taylor’s wife. Luckily her bridesmaids were there to get her laughing in no time. The same happened after she read Taylor’s letter to her, and when her Grandma spoke the sweetest prayer over her. Later she and her dad both teared up when they had a private first look.
Taylor, on the other hand, saved all his happy tears for the ceremony. He had a great time getting ready with his friends and family. He even managed to squeeze in a quick game of foosball with his nephew. Always a great way to start a wedding day!
During the ceremony it was so clear how much Kinzi and Taylor love one another, but also how much they love their families. Their moms helped light candles for the unity candle portion of the ceremony, and Kinzi’s uncle officiated.
I loved getting to see their families come together to celebrate their love story. In fact, Kinzi said it was one of the aspects of the wedding they were most excited about.
“Since my family is from Arkansas and his is from Houston, and we have friends all over, I’m just looking forward to having all of our closest friends and family in one place to help us celebrate and have a good time!”
Kinzi and Taylor have been together for six years. She shared the following about their love story.
“We met after the first day of college at Texas Tech at our fraternity/sorority mixer! He asked me to be his date to his fraternity’s river trip the following weekend. We hit it off and now have been together for over 6 years.”
Last year, he surprised her with the sweetest Christmas present. “He was supposed to be in Houston while I was at my family’s in Arkansas. He ended up flying to Arkansas on Christmas Eve and surprised me at my parents. As soon as he got there, he rang the doorbell, I answered, and he proposed at the door. So it was the best Christmas yet, because we got to spend the holiday together and also got engaged!”
In their free time Kinzi and Taylor share a lot of hobbies. “We are both really big ‘foodies’ and enjoy trying new restaurants together! He likes to cook while I enjoy baking. We also both like to shop and travel. We have been on several trips together. Our favorites were probably NYC at NYE, New Orleans or Aruba after we graduated, or the balloon festival in New Mexico!”
After the wedding, these two headed to Saint Lucia for their honeymoon. But before their trip, or even their sparkler exit, they had an absolute blast at their reception. You won’t want to miss it!
