I love an elopement style wedding, and Sarah and Scot’s was one of the sweetest I’ve been honored to witness.
Though the guest count was purposely small, these two were surrounded by so much love when they said their “I Do’s” at Mitas Hill Vineyard near McKinney, Texas.
In fact, the whole day was filled with a great deal of support, love, giddy anticipation and later happy tears.
Even though the day was cold and rainy, you would never guess it based on the smiles on their faces. Proof that when you’re marrying the love of your life there’s plenty to smile about, come rain or shine. (Of course, the chocolate fountain they surprised their guests with didn’t hurt spirts either… and coats and umbrellas definitely came in handy.) Mostly, though, it was joy that lit up the room anytime these two were together.
One of my favorite parts of the day was when Sarah and Scot had all their guests gather around them to pray. What a unique and wonderful way to begin their life together. I’m not sure there was a dry room in the house after that.
Sarah and Scot, I am so excited for you as you begin this new chapter together! You make a beautiful, wonderful family.
Special thanks to the wonderful team at Mitas Hill Vineyard who helped make this day so beautiful.
