From the day I met Lauren, I knew she was both sweet and cool. I mean, you can’t be in the drumline, much less a band director, without having a great big heart for music! She was also marrying a drummer – something I know a thing or two about, myself – so I knew we had a lot in common from the start.
Still, I had no idea just how much fun we would have together during her bridal portrait session at The Orchard in Azle, Texas. We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather – sixty degrees in late November? – or a better support group, in Lauren’s mom and sister, who came along for the adventure.
This is a good time to tell you, by the way, that behind every beautiful bride is likely a mom or sister getting a great workout in, helping fluff her dress and make sure her veil flies just right in the wind! (Thanks Mikaela!)
Lauren is so blessed to have such amazingly supportive women in her life, who also happen to be naturals at keeping her laughing! She truly radiated joy during her session.
We also got to pay special tribute to Lauren’s mom by replicating her bridal portrait, from a few years back. 😉 What a sweet legacy for this family.
Basically, our time together has me wanting to say, “Give me all the music-loving, Keds-wearing brides, please and thank you!”
Lauren, you are a stunning bride, and more importantly, a wonderful person! Thanks for letting me be a part of your big day(s), and for making me feel like part of the family!
