Last weekend Nicole and Dave were married at Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth. Nicole and Dave have known each other since they were young and that made this day just that much more special. They decided to see each other before the ceremony and as Nicole walked down the aisle to Dave, he looked at me and asked if she was crying. She was. It was incredibly sweet and I love how he knows her so well that even with his back turned he could tell she was tearing up. The ceremony was performed by Dave Tucker of Lovenotes and he told the story of how Dave proposed at the Koi Pond at the Dallas Arboretum. Nicole loves fish, so putting the ring in the fish food was genius of course. Which is why there are fish on the top of their cake! There were so many emotions felt during the ceremony and I know they were so excited to finally be married. After the ceremony we had a brief amount of time outside before the most amount of rain I’ve seen in a long time fell upon us. We got lucky that it didn’t happen while we were outside! We continued the evening over at the YWCA in downtown Fort Worth for the reception, coordinated by the ever so talented Rachel Burrow of Sarabeth Events. Nicole and Dave loved spending time seeing all of their guests and even had a rousing game of cornhole going. We ended the evening with a private dance just for Nicole and Dave alone before sending them off to their new life as a married couple. I have really enjoyed getting to know these two and having the privilege to photograph their petite wedding.
