Rachel & Jonathan – Wedding at Chandor GardensWeatherford, TX

Rachel and Jonathan had a beautiful, sunny day perfect for their Alice in Wonderland themed wedding!  They had a small and intimate wedding and reception at Chandor Gardens out in Weatherford and it was the perfect setting for what they were wanting.  Not only was the weather, day and location perfect but this sweet new family had so much beautiful emotion, I couldn’t help but tear up myself!  During the ceremony, Rachel and Jonathan both said vows to each other’s children and it was just the sweetest thing.  I loved witnessing this new family being formed.  After the ceremony we had the chance to go around the gardens for some fun photos where we got to get a little bit wet under the waterfall! I think some of my favorite moments (besides the vows) happened during the daddy daughter dances.  Rachel and her dad & Jonathan and his daughter.  Together with all of their closest friends and family, Rachel and Jonathan celebrated their marriage and their new family and when the night came to an end, the exited through a tunnel of sparklers underneath hanging teacups that decorated the pathway.  Congratulations Rachel and Jonathan!!

Magenta & Caleb – Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel at TCUFort Worth, TX

What a beautiful day for Magenta and Caleb’s wedding!  There are always so many factors and moving parts to a wedding day but what I love most is that at the end of the day, all that matters is the love that you have for each other.  I know Magenta and Caleb could not wait to become husband and wife and you can tell from their story just how patient they have been throughout their entire relationship.

“We first met while working together the fall of 2013. We worked on the same team and became good friends while working on various projects together. Our friendship continued after Magenta was transferred to Minneapolis for work and we soon began a long distance relationship from across the country. Via FaceTime and many weekend trips to see one another, we soon fell in love and hoped that we would soon live in the same state again sometime soon. In June of 2015, to everyone’s surprise, Magenta was transferred back to the DFW area allowing our relationship to enter a new phase now that we lived close to one another. After a few months of continuing our now close distance relationship, Caleb proposed to Magenta at the Gaylord Texan on Christmas Eve of 2016 in front of both of our families.”

I am so excited for these two and I can’t wait to see what the future brings them!

Hollis & Joey – First Look and Wedding Ceremony at All Saints Episcopal ChurchFort Worth, TX

Hollis and Joey’s big day was absolutely beautiful!  It was full of so much joy, emotion, laughter and fun. Hollis and Joey chose to do a first look, where they saw each other for the first time before the ceremony.  Their friends were so cute as they spied through the window to watch.  Hollis showed off her dress to her almost hubby and he gave a huge thumbs up.  I love first looks because they always seem to calm the nerves but at the same time bring out the excitement!  You know it’s getting real at that point and that you are about to marry the person of your dreams.  It was then time for the ceremony and everyone was in their place.  As it came time for Hollis to walk down the aisle I caught a glimpse of her in the stairwell, she was overcome with emotions, I could tell that she couldn’t wait to get down that aisle. It was one of my favorite moments of the night.  After a few moments of waiting with her sweet dad, the doors opened and she made her way to Joey.  It was a beautiful ceremony and now they are husband and wife!!  Check back for their fun Modern reception.

Hallie & Nathan – Ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Fort WorthFort Worth, Texas

Hallie and Nathan got married on a surprisingly chilly Spring day!   These two love to travel together and started their biggest adventure yet! Here is their fun proposal story :

” We both love golfing, hiking and going on adventures, so we went to Hot Springs, AK for a little summer getaway. On the third day of our vacation, as we were walking on a cool path that overlooked the main drag downtown and decided that would be a good spot to pop down on one knee. He said really sweet things and of course, I said “yes””

Check out some of my favorite moments from the first part of their day!

Courtney & Tyler – Wedding Ceremony at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, TX

Oh my goodness!  I cannot stop gushing over Courtney and Tyler’s wedding day!  It was pretty much as perfect as a wedding day can be.  We started the day out getting ready at Courtney’s childhood home where everyone was excited for the day to start.  All of the girls were absolutely stunning with their floor length champagne colored gowns as they watched Courtney put on her wedding dress.  That’s the moment when everything starts feeling real.  Soon after Courtney was dressed, the power in the whole neighborhood went off!  Luckily everyone was done and ready to go.  Once we got to the church it was time for Courtney and Tyler to see each other for the first time.  I do believe Tyler had his breath taken away by seeing his beautiful bride to be in her wedding dress, especially after seeing that amazing illusion back.  We had so much fun with Courtney, Tyler and their wedding party!  Guests started arriving and it was time to get Courtney’s veil on and get her down the aisle!  The ceremony was beautiful with Marty Leonard a lit up at night.  It was an incredibly breathtaking view.  Please enjoy some of my favorites from Courtney and Tyler’s ceremony and be sure to check back for their reception!

Lindsay & Keith – Wedding Ceremony at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, TX

I absolutely love this couple.  Lindsay and Keith are so much fun and know how to make you laugh.  A few minutes with them will brighten your day significantly.  Back when I photographed their engagement session they told me the story of how they met and it is one of the best I’ve heard in a long time! Since I would not be able to do their story justice, Lindsay describes it in her own words:

“Keith and I met at orientation for new jobs at RSM in November of 2014 (Keith in cyber security consulting and me in international tax). Keith introduced himself to me by saying “Hi, I’m Keith Swiat. Not to be confused with Keith Sweat, the R&B singer.” It was 8 in the morning and I had no idea who Keith Sweat was. I sat as far away from him as possible at orientation.  Finally, his resilience and my piqued interest led to a friendly lunch outing where all of our interactions culminated in him: 1) forgetting his umbrella and accepting my offer to share 2) him not realizing he should carry it until I pointed out my arm going numb and my calves cramping from standing on my tiptoes to hold it over his head and 3) Keith informing me he felt like an encased meat as he took the first bite of his meatball sub at my favorite lunch spot (Park Italian). I wasn’t quite sure I liked him until I caught him sniffing me in the coffee shop a week later. His boldness and put himself out there attitude is what I really love about him. Our relationship is built on questionable social behavior and both of us having a great sense of humor.”

Let’s be honest, you know you have met the woman you’re going to marry when she catches you sniffing her and finds it charming.  It was love at first sniff.  Anyway, I was so happy that they chose me to photograph their big day and that I had the chance to get to know this amazing couple!

Ali & Caleb – Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel at TCUFort Worth, TX

Wow.  What an incredible couple Ali and Caleb are!    I love how Caleb describes the way they first met and their courtship after that led to marriage!  Here is their story in his own words.

“It was the summer of 2015, and I was complaining to one of my best friends of how tired I was of being single and hated the entire process of first dates. My friend Amy listened patiently and began to plant inconspicuous seeds of getting to know Alexandra, the soon to be love of my life. I was taken aback because Ali not only lived 3.5 hrs away, but was also a devout Fighting Texas Aggie and in my opinion not my type. My how I was so wrong!!!!!! It was not until the Winter of 2016, that I finally took Amy up on her suggestion and boldly asked Ali out on a blind date to the Twisted Root burger and beer joint in a suburb of Dallas. I instantaneously felt a connection and could not help but see the beauty and kindness she had within. We spoke a few hours of family and friends and things seemed to flow so organically. A few days after our first encounter, I asked if I could call her and a few phone calls turned into another in person date.

Here is where the story goes south for about two weeks……… I got scared and nervous and did not follow up after our last date.

It finally was about a week before our awesome friend Amy’s wedding, when I asked to see her again. I knew it was a long shot, because I was kind of a jerk but she kindly accepted my offer and went as my date.

We nervously met up the night before our mutual friend’s wedding in San Marcos, where I introduced her to my stomping grounds, which included a sub-par burger joint and fantastic wine bar experience.

The organic conversations that fueled our first encounter was back, as we didn’t skip a beat. I remember loving how natural I felt with Ali and hoped this would be my forever partner in crime.

The following day, Ali and I met up to attend the nuptials of Henry and Amy. I was insanely nervous and knew that I was about to embark on the most incredible journey and adventure of a lifetime………. I just didn’t know how amazing it was going to be.

After the wedding, I asked if we could sit and chat a while. I nervously told her I liked her in the most awkward way possible and didn’t know how it would work, but wanted it to work. She replied by inviting me to meet [her family] and I excitedly accepted her offer. I had no clue the amazing journey to marriage I was about to experience.

It has been a year since Ali and I first met. My heart still skips a beat when I gaze into her eyes. She makes me a better man and I cannot wait to make her my wife.”

With only having 2 weddings left in 2017, I couldn’t be more excited they they were one of them. These two are quite possibly the sweetest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet and their excitement for life is so infectious.  Usually it’s my couples’ faces that hurt after smiling so much for photos, but this time I found my own face hurting from all of the smiling from just being around them and their families.  Enjoy some of my favorite moments from their ceremony and check back for their amazing reception!

Jessica & Seth – Wedding Ceremony & Reception at the Piazza in the VillageColleyville, Texas

Jessica and Seth are married! From the moment I met Jessica and her mom at her bridal, I knew this would be a good wedding! Jessica’s sweet and joyful demeanor could only mean that her fiance was just as nice! Jessica and Seth got married on a beautiful, Texas Fall day surrounded by close friends and family at the Piazza in Colleyville.  After dinner, the dance floor stayed packed!  Jessica was a Rangerette in College and several other girls there were Rangerettes too.  You know there were some good dance moves!  Several times throughout the night I noticed Seth giving Jessica a sweet kiss on the forehead when people weren’t looking which I was able to catch.  These two were sweet together and I am thankful I had the chance to capture their special day!

Tori & Jake – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

What a beautiful night!  Tori and Jake held their reception at the amazing Ashton Depot.  It was lit all warm and glowy, which was the perfect backdrop as they shared their first dance under the chandeliers.  Tori’s dad gave a sweet toast and welcomed Jake into their family, then the party was on!  We had so much fun on the dance floor with this group!  Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and everyone lined up outside as Tori and Jake shared their private last dance.  They then were sent off to start their new lives together!  Thanks so much for letting me capture your big day! Congratulations!
