Katie & Jason – Wedding RehearsalFort Worth Zoo Gallery

Lightly Photography 2016This wedding rehearsal at the Fort Worth Zoo Gallery was so festive and fun!  Guests mingled on the patio outside for cocktail hour while live music was played.  While guests were mingling the zoo staff brought out some animals for the guests to see including a penguin, crocodile, and an owl!  Inside, the tables were decorated with fun zebra print table cloths as well as centerpieces with little animals on them!  This was such a fun rehearsal to photograph!  Check out there beautiful wedding day here!

Valentines Mini Portraits In Studio with LOVE inspired set and Kissing Booth!

OH MY GOODNESS!  These kids cracked me up, wore me out and sent me home smiling.  Last weekend my studio was filled with laughter and lots of cute valentines clad children for our themed mini sessions for the upcoming holiday.  I loved my Valentines set this year complete with a vibrant red and white Chevron backdrop with heart accents and a home made kissing booth.  It was actually really fun to make and I was super proud of myself for making it from some photo inspiration alone!  For a POP of color the AWESOME Tami Winn of Le Fleur Couture provided us with LOVE letters bursting with green flowers.  It was adorable and the perfect accent for our set!  These styled kids portrait sessions in Fort Worth are some of my favorite each year and I am stoked for the ideas I have up my sleeves for 2013!

Save the Date for Easter Mini Sessions coming MARCH 9th!  Last year we went bold and bright and this year we are going soft, subdued, yellow’s, grays, whites and pops of pastels with of course a live animal making an appearance!  Will it be bunnies or chicks???? We don’t know yet!

Valentines Themed Mini Portraits – Saturday Jan 26th

It’s time for Valentines Themed mini sessions on January 26th starting at 2pm in studio.  We will have a LOVEly set with sweet valentines inspired props.   Think bold, bright, red chevron with sweet little things and a pop of green.  It will be perfect for children starting at infants that are sitting up through elementary.  Each child is $59 for 15 minutes and one digital image file is included.  For siblings you will receive one additional file of them loving on one another.

Addy is ONE! Birthday smash cake portraits

OH my GOODNESS!  I can not believe this little one is a year old already!  I have loved watching her grow this year.  I am truly lucky that people trust me to capture this all important first year for their children.  From her newborn pics, to sitting, standing, and finally walking every moment has been so special.  Her cake smash was especially cool because it was her first ever taste of sugar!  I think she liked it.  🙂

A big thank you to Gold Dust Vintage for the sweet antique soda shop table and lace.  Another THANKS goes out to Wendy with Birds of a Feather Events for the beautiful china, umbrella and the pink poufs!  Both of these companies are amazing to work with so if you need help styling your vintage wedding contact either of them!  Wendy does full wedding design and coordination.  Rachel with Gold Dust has more fun vintage items to rent than you could ever imagine.

Want to see more of precious Addy?  Here is her first year in pictures!

Heather & Ed {Engaged} Horror Movie Inspired in Ft. Worth

Love the zombies!

Heather and Ed came to me with a very different idea of what they wanted their engagement session to be. These two are tying the knot on Halloween weekend and wanted a spooky, horror movie inspired engagement shoot plus some “normal” photos as well. So I accepted the challenge and we had a blast! They chose their favorite creepy characters like ghosts, zombies, vampires and even an old gothic painting. It was great to have a change from the normal photos and release my inner “zombie”. Here are a few of my favorites from their session. I can’t wait for their wedding on Halloween, complete with costumes for all!
