Little Journey is 6 months!  She is a lady with a discerning nature and stranger danger has set in early.  Despite her little one fears you can see we were able to get her warmed up and looking oh so cute and happy.  I loved her little smile and giggle.  Sometimes when she laughed she would hold her arms out in front and shake with her belly laugh, it was really sweet.  Can’t wait to see her again this week for Easter Mini sessions on Saturday along with her brother.  Easter sessions are sold out and we are going to have an amazing time!

One of my favorite things is photographing families who make each other laugh all the time. The Mauk Family was just that! We had a blast just shooting around our studio. Shannon bought her in laws a family portrait as a Christmas gift because they hadn’t had an updated one in a while. It was great getting to meet this family and joke around with them! Here are a few of my favorites from their mini session.

Carson is ONE!  I love photographing this awesome milestone.  We played with balloons, smashed a cake and I had a work out chasing this rambunctious toddler around our studio.  Happy Birthday Carson!

Last week I met up with some of my past clients, Maria and John and their cute puppies! I am a HUGE dog lover so this session was a blast for me. Getting to cuddle with a brand new puppy named Simba and his Dad, Gucci. These two made my heart melt! Here are a few of my favorites from their mini session.

Love our Instagram Ap – it makes cell phone pictures pretty when you are on the go!

We have been working hard for almost 7 months doing some major renovation to our new studio location and today we made the BIG move!  We are excited to have found the most perfect place for our business.  Our new 1920′s studio home at 1215 6th Avenue in the Fort Worth Southside neighborhood is beyond what I even hoped.  The transformation has been miraculous and after the holidays I will share some before, during and after photos of all the work!

At our new location we now have 2 consultation areas, a dressing room/shooting room (perfect for indoor baby, toddler and boudoir photos), separate office, play room (for my children) and a kitchen!  Not to mention a backyard that when we get around to all the plans I have brewing in my head will be fabulous for children’s portraits!  Oh, and did I mention our HUGE front porch.  It is just dying for some cute siblings to hug on each other while sitting on the steps.  Today we broke in our new space with a 2 month baby session (had to get right to work!)

It was sad to say good bye to our Daggett location as it was so perfect when we moved in but we definitely outgrew it.  I can’t wait to see how it turns into the perfect place for it’s new tenant, Stir Crazy Baked Goods!

Last week I photographed a the Hunter family. They were such a blast getting to know, and we had a lot of fun going to different urban spots around our studio. This was a big, loud family of 5 kids all within a couple years of each other. So you can imagine how much fun an only child had photographing this family! Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

I adore babies and more than just any baby I LOVE the babies of my past bride and groom’s.  It is so neat to see their families grow and meet the new additions.  Last week I had the great privilege of meeting sweet Avery Elizabeth, the daughter of my clients Jennifer and Max.  They were married last February and a year later welcomed this bouncing baby girl into their lives.  She is just beautiful with the most silky smooth skin I have ever seen and eyes to kill for.  Jennifer and I had a great time catching up and talking mommy talk at the studio and out on location.  I can’t wait to see how she grows and to get Max in front of my camera again.

This week marked a major milestone in my life and the studio.  We purchased a building!  That is right, a brand new place of our own that we will be spending many years to come creating beautiful images in and servicing our clients.  Want to know more?  Well, I’m being a bit stingy with the details at the moment as we are hard at work on renovations but we will be sharing photos through out the process.   What I can tell you is that it is a bungalow style home built in the 1920′s in the Fort Worth South Side very close to Magnolia Ave.  It is the perfect vintage home for us to hang our hats (and our camera straps.)  At the new studio we will have a room set aside for shooting boudoir and babies, a fabulous claw foot tub, a HUGE porch to photograph toddlers and small children and will be able to walk to some of the best eats in Fort Worth.  If all goes as planned with just minor hiccups we will be in the new space by late October.  Here is a sneak peek at just a few parts of our soon to be home!
