After the first dance, Chandler danced with her father and let me tell you, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. As a photographer I love being able to capture these special moments like a father dancing with his daughter. Chandler and Nic were on the dance floor the whole night but wanted to sneak outside to get some fun night portraiture photos. Check out some of my favorite moments from the reception!
This reception at The Orchard was a blast. After some very heartwarming toasts, the couple brought out their dance moves and had a great time on the dance floor. Right around sunset time I was able to steal them away for some fun outdoor portraits in front of a fountain and the venue. Skyla and Aaron were such a great couple and made the evening so fun. Congratulations to this sweet couple!
I can’t tell you how much fun this bright, sunny, fourth of July wedding was. I got to know Skyla during her bridal portraits out at The Orchard previous to the wedding, so I knew instantly that she would be a fun bride to photograph on her wedding day. Skyla and Aaron have known each other since High School, but wanted to wait until after college to tie the knot. They had their closest friends and family around that day, and you could just tell how much they loved each other. Their smiles were contagious! Here are some of my favorite moments from the first part of their day!
I always love being at new venues and Star Hill Ranch was so fun to explore. I had so much at Amy & Matt’s wedding last weekend in Austin. In spending the whole weekend with them i loved getting more of a glimpse of the love the have for each other but also the love of their friends and family. Nothing makes my heart burst more than being able to capture that love. Here are some of my favorites from their Austin wedding.
I had quite the adventure with Charly & Josh this past weekend. I met them at her parents ranch out in Perrin, TX. There we had fun climbing on hay bales, tractors and even got around to chasing some cows. They were all awake so cow tipping did not come into play. Charly and Josh are two Texans who met while living in Oklahoma. I am so excited for their wedding this August at The Orchard in Azle. Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session.
Tara and Dan were married at her parent’s ranch in Cleburne. It was a beautiful outside wedding right beside a small pond on their property. These two were so sweet to one another and it was such a joy to photograph them. They had some really cute moments throughout their day. Like when the ring bearer walked down as a “secret agent” complete with a ear piece and small metal box that contained the ring. Another great moment was when Dan saw Tara for the first time, his mouth dropped WIDE open! Tara also surprised Dan with a groom’s cake with a little Star Wars theme. He thought that was the COOLEST. Events by Hala did a great job of coordinating the day as well as DJ Clo kept the dance floor rockin all night long. Here are a few of my favorites from their day. I wish them all the best in the years to come.
This ring-bearer had TOP SECRET stuff in that box.
LOVE Dan’s expression as he sees Tara for the first time.
Just as they kissed a fountain when on in the pond below. So pretty.
A sweet first dance as man and wife.
Dan and his mom shared a sweet moment before they danced.
Love this moment during the ceremony as Joe whispers into her ear.
Allison and Joe have become like family over the years. I have been photographing their family for about 2 years now and Joe was the last to get married from the Whitmer clan. Their wedding was a beautiful country wedding out on their families ranch in Oakwood, TX. I photographed Joe’s brother Daniel out at this same spot a couple of years ago-so it was great getting to come back and create more memories for them! These two shared a unique kind of love, with Joe’s silliness and Allison’s beauty both inside and out. Many laughs were shared that night, as well as a few tears-even by me! This family really means the world to me and I can’t wait for the next wedding (although they assure me it’ll be awhile). Here are some of my favorites…there were too many to choose from! Stay tuned for more to come.
This week I got to spend the morning of the 4th of July with an amazing couple Ashton & Cameron! It was so much fun to get out of Fort Worth and photograph somewhere new. We started at ranch in where Ashton used to work. On the ranch we got to play with their beautiful horses. We then went to the Oakdale Steakhouse which is an amazing old building that has been restored along with a Soda Shoppe next door. It had a lot of fun unique props we played with. Ashton and Cameron were so fun and I loved how adventurous they were.
