Kelsey & Kal – Engagement Session at the Dallas Arboretum & White Rock LakeDallas, Texas

Kelsey and Kal sat in cubicles next to each other at work for about a year before they started dating!  A mutual friend invited them to a concert, and that’s where there story began.  These two were the sweetest and I love their proposal story shared below in Kelsey’s own words:

We went to visit a friend and her husband in San Antonio and had planned to go to the river walk and Fredericksburg while we were down there. On Saturday morning, Kal said he knew of a neat place to eat lunch on the river walk so we drove down there. As we were walking on the river walk, he showed me a place called ‘marriage island’ (which I had never heard of at the time). There were rose petals sprinkled and our names and picture hanging from the tree. He got down on one knee and proposed. My mom, dad and sister were hiding out taking pictures and videos and surprised me. It was absolutely perfect!

Check out some of my favorite moments from their engagement session!

Carter Ann & Michael – Engagement at the Dallas Arboretum & White Rock LakeDallas, Texas

These two met in high school but it wasn’t until Michael returned from his deployment to finish school at Texas Tech did they start dating!  I loved getting to know them during their engagement session!  Here’s how Michael popped the question:

My family used to ranch out in West Texas and I have a cousin who still lives there with his wife and 2 adorable kids. We’re all really close and go out to visit any chance we get. As a little girl I’d always go explore the sand hills and look for arrowheads. We went to go visit over 4th of July weekend and we all went out to the old ranch to drive around. We stopped at my old sand hills and decided to go hunt for arrowheads. As we climbed to the top Michael pointed over my shoulder and asked if that looked like and old Indian dugout, when I turned back around he was down on one knee! It was almost 10 years to the day after we’d met.

Can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Celine & Wesley – Ceremony at Texas Discovery GardenDallas, Texas

I had the pleasure of getting to know Celine and Wesley at their engagement session and was super excited for their big day!  They got married in front of the fountain at the Texas Discovery Gardens with gorgeous evening light streaming through the trees.  Celine is from Hawaii so there were fun little hints of Hawaii throughout their day.  Their wedding party was definitely a fun group and I had a feeling it would be a dancing crowd.  They didn’t disappoint!  Stay tuned for their reception!

Jessica & Jake – Engagement Session at Japanese Gardens & Trinity ParkFort Worth, Texas

These two get married next year and I am so excited.  They were so sweet together during their session while we explored the Japanese Gardens and Trinity Park.  They chose to wear Oklahoma University shirts for the second part of of their session which is really fun.   A cool fact about these two is that they are both high school Band teachers!  I love it!  I think I have always been amazed at people who are musical and secretly wish I was musically inclined!  Check out some of my favorite moments from their session.
