Sarah and Tyler – Wedding Reception at The Carlisle RoomDallas, TX

We had so much fun celebrating with Sarah and Tyler!  They held their reception at The Carlisle Room in Dallas and it was so beautiful!  There were many Razorback fans in the crowd so after cake cutting they had to do the hog call!  I always love seeing the different school traditions of my couples.  It’s so much fun!  The dance floor stayed pretty packed all night long and the crowd was loving the Inversion Band.  Sarah had the chance to try her skills out on one of the band member’s trumpets and one of the bridesmaids did a saxophone duet with her plastic blow up sax.  It truly was a fun party!  But, all good things must come to an end, sadly.  As all of their guests gathered outside, Sarah and Tyler enjoyed one last private dance before heading off on their honeymoon.  They were sent off through a cloud of flutterfetti and left to begin their new life together!  Congratulations Sarah and Tyler!

Sarah and Tyler – First Look and Wedding Ceremony at St. Thomas AquinasDallas, TX

The good weather luck continues! It rained most of our drive to Dallas and just as it was looking like it would still be raining for Sarah and Tyler’s first look, the skies cleared up. The rain lightened up and stopped long enough for us to get all of the photos we wanted outside. All of the family and bridal party were such troopers as we stood out in the crazy wind taking photos!  Sarah and her girls really knew how to make that wind work in their favor!  It was time for the ceremony and Sarah looked so beautiful as she walked to the aisle on her dad’s arm with her mom’s veil in her hair.  She was absolutely beaming!  Sarah and Tyler exchanged their vows and were pronounced husband and wife and I know that at that moment all of the nerves were lifted from their shoulders.  It was time to celebrate! Enjoy some of my favorites from their first look and ceremony and check back for their reception at The Carlisle Room!

Allison and Logan – Wedding Reception at Piazza on the GreenMcKinney, TX

And the magic continues!!  Allison and Logan were introduced into their reception and went straight into their first dance as husband and wife.  Sticking with this Disney theme that we’ve started, it was like the ballroom scene right out of Beauty & The Beast with all of the warm lighting and chandeliers.  A true fairy tale moment!  They danced all night long and at one point Logan and his groomsmen did a surprise dance to the YMCA.  It was truly an enchanting night and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple.  Thanks Allison and Logan for choosing me to capture your special day!

Allison and Logan – First Look and Wedding Ceremony at Piazza on the GreenMcKinney, TX

When I think of Allison & Logan I think of the perfect couple comparable to a Disney prince and princess, so it was incredibly fitting that when I showed up to the venue that Allison was wearing her Mini Mouse house shoes.  I almost expected little woodland creatures to come and help her put on her wedding dress!   She was so incredibly excited and just full of joy and absolutely radiant!  When I asked what Disney couple they would most relate to, she said Anna and Krsitoff from Frozen and I can totally see it!  Their first look may have been a little windy but they were just too precious and so happy to see each other that a little wind was nothing.  They are just the kind of people that you can’t help but smile when you’re around them!  Their happiness is definitely contagious and you could tell during the ceremony how true that really is.  Please enjoy some of my favorites from their first look and ceremony – you won’t be able to keep yourself from grinning!

Janey and Collin – Engagement Session at Dallas Arboretum and White Rock LakeDallas, TX

With all of the threat of rain and having to reschedule once before, I was a little worried we would have to postpone again!  Luckily everything cleared and up and I met up with Janey and Collin at the Arboretum and it was a beautiful day!  I loved getting to hang out with these two.  They are the cutest and so incredibly happy.  It is a difficult thing not to smile when you are around them! Their love and happiness is definitely infections, my face hurt after their session from all of the smiling!  After the Arboretum, we headed over to White Rock Lake which is where Collin proposed to Janey when he told her that he wanted to take her to look at a sailboat.  Janey and Collin are a genuinely sweet couple and I am beyond excited to photograph their wedding this September!

Amanda and John – Wedding Reception at Union Station DallasDallas, TX

After the ceremony everyone headed over to Union Station for the party.  And what a party it was!  The ballroom was like something out of a fairy tale decorated with amazing floral by Bella Flora and the styling skills of Jenna with Pop Parties.  Amanda and John entered and had their first dance as husband and wife then the party really got started.  With Emerald City on the stage there is no keeping people off of the dance floor and as always they were absolutely killing it and the dancing lasted all night!  Amanda and John were invited up onto the stage and sang a few songs with the band and all of their guests.  Everyone was having the time of their lives!  Of course, all good things must come to an end and the horn section led the guests down the elevator so Amanda and John could have a private moment before leaving.  During their private time, they asked their grandparents to join them in a dance.  It was the sweetest thing!  Amanda and John then made their way down the escalators and out into the cloud of flutterfetti and were off to start their new life together!  Congratulations Amanda and John!

Jess and Bobby – Engagement Session at Globe Life ParkArlington, TX

ATTENTION ALL BASEBALL FANS!!!  It is finally baseball season and with Jess and Bobby there was no other place than the Texas Rangers Stadium (Globe Life Park) for their engagement portraits.  Bobby proposed to Jess during a tour of the stadium, so I loved that they wanted to have their photos done there.  Being a big baseball fan myself, this was such a treat!  Not only are Jess and Bobby big Rangers fans, but they are the sweetest and kindest people! They are so much fun to be around and we had a blast hanging out around the empty stadium.  Our tour guide, Dick, also provided us with a fun time, a little Rangers history and added entertainment!  If you haven’t taken a tour, you definitely should!  I think the ballpark might be one of my favorite places to photograph.  Congratulations to Jess and Bobby!  Hope to you see you at a game soon! (Also, a special shout out to the tour coordinator, Billie, at the ball park!  She was absolutely wonderful to work with!)

Kailie – Bridal Portraits at Bass HallFort Worth, TX

Kailie was like a real life Cinderella.  She had the beautiful ball gown with amazing detail on the bodice and the SHOES! Oh the shoes!  Quite a few of our set ups were centered around those shoes.  It was a blast getting to photograph Kailie’s bridals.  She is such a happy person and so much fun to be around, which makes the photos that much better!  Check back for photos from her February wedding!

Stephanie and Patrick – Engagement Session at The Dallas Arboretum and White Rock LakeDallas, TX

I am so excited to share Stephanie and Patrick’s engagement session!  I met up with these two at the Dallas Arboretum for the first part of their session.  We thought we were going to have bad weather, but luckily the sun started to pop out as we started and it was absolutely gorgeous by the time we got to the lake.  Stephanie is a TCU Horned Frog like me and Patrick has just moved here to Texas from New York, and I have never been so aware of how many times I say the word, Y’all.  I love when I can joke and poke fun with my couples.  It makes everything just a little bit more fun!  Stephanie and Patrick will be getting married in September and I can’t wait!

Cortni & Jason – Wedding Reception at BRIK VenueFort Worth, TX

Now that they were officially husband and wife, it was time to celebrate!  We headed over to The BRIK Venue where the upstairs portion was decorated in beautiful greenery on long farm tables and hanging from the chandeliers.  Cortni’s dad, the maid of honor and best man all gave such moving and lovely toasts that I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone in that room teared up a little bit because I know I did!  After dinner and toasts it was time for cake cutting and dancing!  Everyone was having a blast from the past to the 80’s music played by The Spazmatics.  Cortni and Jason were right at home out on the dance floor and absolutely killed it when asked to do an interpretive dance of their love story!  Not everyone could pull that off but they sure did!  Naturally, nobody wanted the night to end but grabbed their sparklers and headed outside while Cortni and Jason had their private last dance.  They were so cute in those few minutes they had to themselves and just held on to each other as if they didn’t want the night to end.  They then made their way through the tunnel of sparklers to begin their honeymoon and their new life as husband and wife.  I am so incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Cortni, Jason and their sweet families.  Congratulations you two!
