I absolutely love photographing small, intimate weddings and Eileen and Aaron’s was one of my absolute favorites. you could feel how much love Eileen and Aaron have for each other and all week while working on their photos I continued to feel the warmth of their day. They had a ceremony behind Fellowship Church in Grapevine by the baptism waters followed by a dinner at Truluck’s in Southlake.  Here are some of my favorites from their Grapevine wedding.

I don’t think I have ever had a couple make me tear up so much as Janel and Samuel did.  Their day was filled with so much amazing loving moments. They decided to do a first look before their ceremony and they were some of the best reactions I have ever seen out of a groom. I love how they could just not stop smiling at each other and kissing. Their ceremony had some unique elements I haven’t seen. They started with a few worship songs and ended with their close friends and family coming on stage and praying over them. During the ceremony they faced out towards their family & friends. After their own vows to each other Janel & Samuel said vows to Samuel’s children. Cracking up during toast. Their was an incident where a fire truck and ambulance showed up during toasts. An alarm was accidentally pressed.

I love it when I am photographing couples and they come up with new terminology for me to use. On Ashley & Winston’s session Winston came up with the phrase “Bump and Hold” for when I wanted them to kiss. I enjoyed so much how Winston loved to make Ashley laugh. The Parker family are super special clients because Laura, the Mom, is a fellow photographer and friend.  I was completely honored when she asked me to photograph her family for her and I loved getting to hang out with her 4 sweet children and her in-laws.  It is awesome when we can get grandparents in on sessions and take photos that show generations, it makes for photos that are surely priceless.  The older 3 children definitely dote on their little brother Jeff and the oldest girls have  a special bond.  During the session they kept wondering off together having a sisterly moment.  I hope I can continue to get to know this family as their friend as they surely have blessed me!

Last month Stephanie & Nick got married on the beaches of Cabo San Lucas. Since they had a destination wedding they wanted to have a celebration in Texas with their friends and family who were unable to make it down to Mexico. They held their reception at the rustic Cross Timbers Winery.  There they enjoyed themselves as they dined, drank and danced with their friends. I have known Allison and Joe now for a while as I have been photographing their family for a couple of years now. I am so excited that they are finally tying the knot! These two are super funny and we had a blast exploring Grapevine. I love when couples bring along their dogs to the session, because I am definitely a dog lover. Their dog Bo looked mean and tough but he was actually super cute and cuddly! Their wedding is going to be so beautiful out on Joe’s parents land in October. I can’t wait!

Last week I hung out with Reannan and Jeremy in downtown Grapevine. These two are so playful! Both of them were running around climbing in trains and catching bugs. Last week I went out to Grapevine with Kimberly and Andy. Kimberly and Andy got engaged at the Fort Worth Stockyards and will be getting married there later this year in September. They still wanted a country feel to their photos and since Andy works on trains we went out to the train depot in Grapevine. Kimberly also wanted Hay bales for their photos and I was able to find some along with a barn filled with hay stacks. Here are some of my favorites from their Grapevine engagement session.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of hanging out with Lillian and Kyle. These two are tying the knot next December in their home town of Decatur. We had a blast exploring the Grapevine Train Station as well as the lake and a few hay bales that we had to chase down . One of the things that Lillian really wanted in her pictures was hay bales. So like a good photographer I went scouting for her and found the perfect field. But what did I find when we showed up that day? The farmers rolling them out of the field! Thank goodness Kyle sweet talked us one last hay bale! Here are a few from my session that I loved. Merry Christmas!

Last weekend Ginny & Blake came into town from Arkansas for their engagement session. We started out at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens and then walked around downtown Grapevine. They brought their two adorable dogs who will actually be playing a part in their April wedding. Ginny & Blake are an adorable couple who have known each other since high school.
