The end of 2016 was CRAZY busy with family portraits galore in October – December. We photographed so many beautiful families and now that Christmas cards have all gone out, been admired and shared we are excited to start sharing some of our fave families! This family is a little near and dear to us – this is my baby brother and his wife and kids! The live out of town so it’s rare when I can get these guys in front of my camera. Over Thanksgiving we snuck off for a quick photo shoot to surprise our families with for Christmas. Photographing the connection between parents and their children and all the silly laughter and moments in-between are the best part of our job.
This family is the BEST! We love being able to catch up with these guys during their session and see how much the kiddos have grown. This family is always looking stylish, especially Benton with her adorable polka dotted dress. Although she was a little camera shy we got some great smiles out of her eventually! Jacks has developed into an adventures and joyful little guy! We love being able to capture sweet moments with this family. Check out some of the images from our Fall mini session!

It’s not every day I can get 3 generations of women together for a fun portrait! Loved that I got to catch up with little Sophie (hadn’t seen her since her 1st birthday!) and watch her play with her Mommy and Grandma. Thanks ladies for letting me capture your little tribe of girls! Rockledge Park in Grapevine was the perfect spot for this rambunctious 2 year old to climb and have fun. In addition to exploring we played games and did lots of fun things like ball and bubbles!
This little guy made his entrance into the world on September 15th at 6:58am. Colin weighed 5lbs and 5oz at 18.25 inches long. He might be small but he makes up for it in cuteness! This little guy was so precious and loved to keep his hands up by his face during our session. We are so happy for Rachel & John as they enter this new stage of life!

Welcome to the world sweet little Jaxon! You are already so loved and Mommy an Daddy are just amazing parents already! I loved coming into this home and sharing a day with this new little family. Jaxon was a doll – a perfect gentlemen for his photoshoot and oh so cuddly in his parents arms! From Michelle & Dustin’s wedding at the Modern Art Museum to now it is beautiful to see how they have grown as a couple. Their marriage is strong and their love for one another is fierce and I know that that love will just grow as they raise this little man. Thank you so much for once again inviting us into your lives, your home and into your family! Congrats on such a lovely little baby boy!
Welcome Jaxon Ryder!
We love it when we are able to walk along side a family through big milestones, and this was a great milestone for the Hixon Family. Amy, John, and Scott welcomed baby Austin in to the family on August 4th at 19 3/4 inches, weighing 7 pounds and 10 ounces. Scott will make a great big brother based on how much he doted on his new little brother during our session. Welcome to the world Baby Austin!

This was such a fun experience! Over two days I got to spend some time with Gabbi and her sweet family while they celebrated her Bat Mitzvah. I was able to take several family photos at the Shearith Israel Synagogue in Dallas and also able to capture some of Gabbi reading out of the Torah. We then spent time getting some fun shots of Gabbi by herself. She loved being behind the camera and was a natural! To celebrate, Gabbi had a great after party where friends and family danced into the night. It was great being able to capture these special moments!
