I had so much fun last week hanging out with Amy & Matt for their Dallas Engagement Session. We started out in the Fair Park area and then went to White Rock Lake near their home where they like to take walks.  I am so excited about their wedding this upcoming October. It will b e down in the hill country and it’s always fun to be somewhere new and different. Here are some of my favorites.

I had a blast hanging out with Samantha and Ben during their Dallas engagement session. They are an amazing down-to-earth couple who truly enjoy life. We started our time at the Dallas Farmer’s Market with all of its wonderful colors and textures, not to mention the delicious fruits. Sam’s parents live further out in the country so we finished our session on their land for some great rural shots. I adore how in love these two are and the way it translates through the camera. I cannot wait for their Marty Leonard Chapel wedding this fall, it’s going to be great!

After the ceremony we headed over to the Warwick Melrose Hotel for the reception.  Kristen and Will are some dancin’ fools and they danced all night long.  Here is a just a peak at their entire wedding day in their highlight slideshow.

Kendall & Jon love to spend their weekends on the boat at Lake Texoma so for their engagement session they wanted water to be a factor in their session. We started in downtown Dallas in the Arts District which offers beautiful architecture and a reflecting pool. From their we went to White Rock Lake and had fun walking around the lake wishing that the weather would warm up soon so they could be out enjoying the water. Last weekend I was out in Dallas for Justine & David’s wedding. They started the day by getting ready in downtown at different hotels. From the hotels they went to have a beautiful afternoon ceremony at St. Rita Catholic Church.  Justibe & David wanted to make the most of the time they had with their close friends so between the ceremony and reception we went to a lookout over the Trinity River to do some photos in front of downtown Dallas and then to the Belmont Hotel for some drinks with their wedding party.  Once the reception started at eM the Venue it was non stop fun. They had several surprises for their guests that included a choreographed first dance, the TCU Horned Frog, & confetti at the end of the night. Here are some of my favorites from their Dallas wedding.

I had so much with Kylie & Brian at their engagement session and I am so excited to photograph their wedding and can’t believe I have to wait almost a full year to do so. Kylie & Brian are holding their reception at an art gallery in Wichita Falls so we wanted to incorporate that feel into the session. We started at the Dallas Arts District then headed to White Rock Lake. At White Rock Lake Kylie had her dog Sophie jump in some of the photos. For those who know me on facebook know what a dog lover I am so I love it when couples bring their fur babies to their sessions. Here are some of my favorites from their Dallas engagement session.

Tara and Dan are getting married in May at Tara’s families house and I am so excited to be photographing their big day! We had a blast getting to know each other on a beautiful spring day at the Dallas Arboretum. I loved watching these two walk arm and arm around the gardens, because you could really see how much they loved each other. We also spent some time at Mockingbird station, where they decided they wanted to make it official that they were a couple. I especially loved this intimate moment that they shared within the cherry blossoms, because Tara just loves cherry blossoms. There is a saying that rain is good luck on your wedding day and if that’s the case Casseday and Kevin have a lot coming their way.  Even though outside was dreary inside the day was bright with celebration! Kevin and Casseday got married in the beautiful Royal Lane Baptist Church surrounded by candlelight. They then had a rocking reception at The Warwick Melrose Hotel where they danced the night away bringing out sunglasses, poppers and glow sticks! Even some of the guests got me dancing on the dance floor.  They day was completed with the following vendors!

Last week I photographed one of our second shooters, Amanda, and her boyfriend Ben. They had never gotten pictures together-and so being a photographer she definitely needed some! We met up in Deep Ellum to hang out by some funky, colored walls. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

I spent a beautiful afternoon in Dallas recently with Sabrina and Drake walking around the Arboretum and the Dallas Arts District. It is the perfect time of year when the leaves are changing colors and it’s not too cold or hot. Sabrina and Drake chose to have part of their session in the Arts District since the church her parents and grandparents got married in was right downtown.
