Welcome to the world Hudson Ross!  Little Hudson was born on 12.2.12 at 21 inches long and 6.4 pounds.  He was so sweet for me during his newborn session as he practically slept through the entire thing.  I loved his little sleepy smiles like the one caught above and his cooing as he dreamed soft baby dreams.  I can’t wait to see this precious angel turn into a strapping boy over the next year!  Hudson’s Mommy & Daddy joined us for a few photos and their first family portrait.

The Parker family are super special clients because Laura, the Mom, is a fellow photographer and friend.  I was completely honored when she asked me to photograph her family for her and I loved getting to hang out with her 4 sweet children and her in-laws.  It is awesome when we can get grandparents in on sessions and take photos that show generations, it makes for photos that are surely priceless.  The older 3 children definitely dote on their little brother Jeff and the oldest girls have  a special bond.  During the session they kept wondering off together having a sisterly moment.  I hope I can continue to get to know this family as their friend as they surely have blessed me!

I love Fall Mini Sessions because they often give me the chance to catch up with past clients.  Veronica and Robert were married almost 3 years ago and they decided it was time for some updated imagery with the doggie.  It was so fun to get to hear about what they are up to and how far they have come in just a few years.  I love their little furry baby and I can’t wait to see them again because facebook just isn’t enough.

Jaylee & Landry are the sweetest little girls and I loved snuggling them between photos on this cold day.  They were such troopers and we caught some sweet smiles and silliness between shivers.  They were my first Fall Family and they were a perfect start.  Can’t wait to photograph these angels again….on a day with out goose bumps.  :)

I am SO excited about our fall portraits! Last year I missed out because I was on maternity leave with Gideon.  I have been plotting locations and a few props and it is making me think about my own families yearly photo and what on earth I will select for our holiday card.  We have a whole new line of cards this year I am in love with so I am not sure how I will choose.

This year we will be offering Fall Mini Sessions on select Saturdays and weekdays.  Available weekend dates are October 6th & 27th or November 17th.  October sessions will be photographed in Fort Worth near our studio and you may choose from rustic urban, bright urban or field/nature.  November 17th will be at Penn Farms at Cedar Hill State Park.  The farm has vintage barns, open fields, dirt roads and fence lines as well as beautiful trees.  Please note there is an additional cost for admission to the Farms, individuals over 12 are $7 each.  (The Farms rock and I may very well be doing my own family here this year.)

This is a session I did that really did come full circle for me. April and Jeff were wedding was the very first I ever shot over seven years ago and I am so excited to help them announce the arrival of their first baby. They are having a baby boy in October named Bastien Ambrose. Here are some favorites from their baby reveal session.

I loved this sweet rambunctious girl.  Lilly can run and we had to chase her down MANY times during her session.  So glad I had the opportunity to photograph her with Dad and Grandma.  Lilly looked spunky in the outfit I pulled from my prop closet, the black tutu and blue hair bow made her blue eyes sparkle.  Dad did a great job with bringing a very appropriate prop, sunglasses.  I hope to get to see this little one grow into a beautiful little lady.

You are never to big for a game of peek – a – boo!

I am in love with this image, why?  Because as sweet and adorable as any little girl may be most like to run, play and have a knack for bruises and scrapes.  I think this shot completely captures what being a girl is.

This week I was excited to hang out with some old friends and their sweet little man, Landon.  He is just a week younger than my Gideon so I of course just loved him and was excited to capture him at this awesome stage.  I think 2 months is so important of a milestone because it is when a baby starts being more reactive.  I love the giggles, funny faces, smirks, smiles and the what are you doing looks that babies all of a sudden become capable of.  I just squealed with glee when I got the shot below of his little grin.  I hope I get to photograph him again and see him grow into a little boy!

So you know I love weddings, they are just awesome!  BUT at the completion of a wedding my couples have become something new, a family.  This brings more opportunities to spend time with my amazing clients as they grow their new family.  Last week I had the ultimate pleasure of hanging out at our studio with one of my couples, Austin & Megan, and their new sweet baby girl, Addilyn.  It was awesome to catch up, give Megan some Mommy tips and love on this little peach.  Welcome to the world little Addilyn!

8 lbs, 8 oz and 22 inches long

We are so excited to announce the newest addition to the Tracy Autem & Lightly Photography Family. Gideon Matthew was born October 13 at 8:02 am . He weighed 9lbs and 3 oz and is 20.5 inches. I was so blessed to be there when Tracy and her husband got to hold their precious baby boy for the very first time and I wanted to share some of those images. Of course I couldn’t help but cry as I experienced their joy with them. We all truly are a family.
