Abbey & Ben – Reception at the Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

After their beautiful ceremony, they headed to the Ashton Depot for their reception.  As the guests arrived to the reception they enjoyed signature cocktails, a mariachi band, hand-rolled cigars, and a picture booth with a beer burro! Inside, the space was transformed with beautiful pink uplighting and lush florals.  Don’t even get me started on the groom’s cake!  Chocolate covered cake balls lined a replica Texas A& M Kyle Field Football Stadium while the brides cake was decorated in pretty pink flowers.  I mean, does it get any better?  The bride and groom entered and went into a fun and sassy dance before a starting a slow dance as their first dance as husband and wife.  As a gift to the father of the bride, the couple brought out a birthday cake and sang to him since his birthday fell on that special day! Then, the dance party got started with a surprise drumline and didn’t stop until the couple left in style in a vintage car.  Check out some of my favorite moments!

Melissa and Cody – Wedding at The OrchardAzle, TX

Melissa and Cody are married!  We started the day thinking the rain was going to keep us from being outside, but it did not!  Melissa and Cody chose to see each other before the ceremony and luckily it quit raining just in time!  They read notes they had written to each other and then Cody turned to see his bride for the first time and I think his breath may have literally been taken away.  They held the ceremony inside surrounded by their closest family and friends and said sweet vows to each other that made me tear up!  After they shared their first kiss, Cody smashed the glass (a Jewish tradition that they incorporated into their wedding) and they were on their way up the aisle as husband and wife!  Then it was time to celebrate and Melissa and Cody spent the rest of the evening enjoying chatting and dancing with all of the important people in their lives.  At the end of the night they spent one last dance together, taking in the day and each other.  They were then sent off to their new life through the glowing lights of sparklers.  Congratulations to Melissa and Cody!

Nicole & Jacob – Wedding Ceremony and Reception at the BRIKFort Worth, TX

Nicole & Jacob got married on a beautiful, if not slightly warm (Hello Texas!), day in Fort Worth.  I have had the privilege of shooting at BRIK before and I just love it.  With all the natural light and fun textures this is definitely a great space to get married.  She chose some great vendors to make this Texas themed wedding come alive.  The bridesmaids wore beautiful navy dresses that complimented the white, ivory, and light blue florals.  As the bride and groom kissed for the first time, family and friends rang cow bows!  How fun!  These two also had a very fun band play during their reception.  The Dick Beldings are a 90s cover band that one of the groomsman is a member of.  Not your average wedding band!  Check out some of my favorite moments from their wedding!

Erin and Colby – Wedding at Hollow HillWeatherford, TX

They say it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day.  Well, I say it’s even better luck for it to rain and then stop just in time for your outdoor ceremony!  That is exactly what happened for Erin and Colby.  It was raining off and on all morning and they were considering moving the ceremony inside, but it finally stopped and it was absolutely beautiful! The grass wasn’t even wet.  Erin looked stunning as she walked down the aisle arm in arm with her dad.  Her dress perfectly complimented her outdoor space and her boots were just the icing on the cake.  Colby teared up as he saw his bride walking toward him and when she arrived next to him, gave him the cutest smile.  With a backdrop of green trees behind them, they said their vows and became husband and wife!  It was the perfect setting.  Then it was time to party!  After dinner, the guests made their way into the barn for dancing and cake!  Erin and Colby spent the evening enjoying time with their friends and family just dancing until it was time for them to head out to begin their new life together!  Congratulations to Erin and Colby!

Sarah & Matthew – Reception at the Dallas ArboretumDallas, Texas

If you haven’t heard of Molly from Pop Parties, you are missing out!  She helped coordinate Sarah & Matthew’s day so that it would run smoothly.  Not only does a coordinator help a couple’s dream come to reality, but they allow the other vendors, including myself, to work efficiently and help everyone follow the schedule!  It is always a pleasure working with great vendors!

These two had a very sweet first dance followed by open dancing where everyone was showing off their dance moves.  Check out some of my favorite moments from Sarah & Matthew’s reception!

Lisa and Chandler – Wedding Ceremony and Reception at BRIKFort Worth, TX

Lisa and Chandler were married surrounded by close family and friends and after their vows, they joined all of their guests for dinner and dancing in the glow of romantic candlelight that filled the venue.  They spent the evening catching up with all of their friends and family while taking turns heading out to the dance floor and showing off their dancing skills!   It was a beautiful night celebrating their love with the ones they love most and it went by so quick!  Before we knew it, it was time for the night to end to say goodbye to the newlyweds.  Lisa and Chandler spent a few minutes alone in a private last dance, wrapped up in each other’s arms.  This is always one of my favorite moments of the night, just the bride and groom dancing with no one else around.  The song ended and it was time to send them on their way through a tunnel of sparklers where they drove away to begin their new life together!  Congratulations Lisa and Chandler!

Lauren and Akshay – Wedding at Clark GardensWeatherford, TX

When I checked facebook the morning of Lauren and Akshay’s wedding, the first thing I saw was a status update from Lauren.  I thought it would have said something to do with it being her wedding day, but it actually said “Happy Earth Day”.  That is what I love so much about these two.  They are so free-spirited and easy going and so much fun to be around.  I love that I can joke back and forth with them like I can with any of my old friends.  I remember when I first met Lauren and she told me she was designing her own wedding dress.  It was so exciting to see the finished product.  Lauren wanted to honor her mother’s memory by putting some color into her dress, since her mother wore a similar color on her own wedding day.  I love that she thought to have her mom close to her in this way on her big day.  Once it was time for the ceremony and everybody was seated, Akshay came down the aisle right after his best man and little french bulldog. Everyone stood for the bride and as soon as Lauren rounded the corner I heard him gasp and say “she looks SO beautiful”.  It made me smile instantly.  Isn’t that the reaction every bride wants out of her groom?  That just set the tone for the rest of the ceremony and left me (and everyone else) grinning the whole time.  After the ceremony everyone headed into the tent for the party!  In between dancing Lauren and Akshay greeted their guest along side their very sweet (and cold) puppy!  They also played the newlywed game and were asked some questions about each other.  I think Akshay might have had a little too much fun playing that game, but he was a nice husband and put his own shoe up when it came to those questions that could put you in the doghouse if you answer wrong.  It came to the end of the night pretty quickly and everyone lined up to send the newlyweds off.  Lauren and Akshay ran through a tunnel of rose petals and were on their way to begin their new life together!  Please take a look at their beautiful Earth Day Wedding!

Hillery and Juan – Wedding at Marty Leonard Chapel and City ClubFort Worth, TX

It may have been a tad windy but it was a beautiful day for Hillery and Juan’s wedding!  We started out at City Club for their first look where apparently the only thing making Juan nervous was me!  I may have made him wait a little longer than he probably wanted to to turn around and see his beautiful bride for the first time.  Hillery was absolutely stunning in her Neiman Marcus gown and if there were any nerves before, they were one once they laid eyes on each other.  We then headed over to Marty Leonard for their ceremony.  They were too cute sitting up there stealing quick looks at one another.  There was so much love and happiness in that chapel, I’m surprised it didn’t burst.  One thing I loved so much about these two is their love for their family.  They were all so close and Juan’s family even made the drive from Washington D.C. to Texas in 24 hours because their flight was cancelled!  But they made it and were able to watch Hillery and Juan become husband and wife.  Back over at City Club, Hillery and Juan were announced and I love how you can see the joy written all over their faces.  They enjoyed catching up with some of their closest friends and family and making sure that everyone knew how appreciated they were.  The night was filled with joy, laughter, love, friendship and dancing.  As the night came to an end, Hillery and Juan were surrounded on the dance floor by all of their guests popping streamers.  It truly was a beautiful day and I am so grateful they chose me to capture it!  Congratulations to Hillery and Juan!

Cati & Jeff – Ceremony & Reception at MopacFort Worth, Texas

From the beginning it was made known to me that Cati shared a special bond with her sisters (known as the Hall Girls).   Their parents are no longer with them, but let me tell you, that did not put a damper on this day.  These girls share a huge bond, and it was such a sweet moment when her sisters walked Cati down the aisle.  Cati & Jeff said “I Do” at Mopac Event Center which is a venue that opened last year.  Here are some of my favorite moments from their day!
