Happy Easter from our families to yours!  In celebration of this day we wanted to share our Easter mini sessions photographed earlier this month.  A HUGE thank you to the 13 families that brought their children out to frolic with Bobby the bunny on our sweet yellow and gray lace vintage set.  Bobby, a caramel lop eared bunny rabbit, was patient and sweet with even the littlest of kids who came to play as you can see above.  Scroll on for over 50 beautiful photos of babies, kids, siblings and girls and boys that will steal your heart.  May your day be blessed and filled with joy!

Last week I got to hang out with my beautiful cousin and photograph her senior portraits.  Haley is a captain on her high school soccer team and will be graduating in May.  She plans on attending Oklahoma University in the fall.  I am so proud of her and was so excited to get to photograph her senior portraits.  Please enjoy some of my favorites from her Dallas portrait session.

OH MY GOODNESS!  These kids cracked me up, wore me out and sent me home smiling.  Last weekend my studio was filled with laughter and lots of cute valentines clad children for our themed mini sessions for the upcoming holiday.  I loved my Valentines set this year complete with a vibrant red and white Chevron backdrop with heart accents and a home made kissing booth.  It was actually really fun to make and I was super proud of myself for making it from some photo inspiration alone!  For a POP of color the AWESOME Tami Winn of Le Fleur Couture provided us with LOVE letters bursting with green flowers.  It was adorable and the perfect accent for our set!  These styled kids portrait sessions in Fort Worth are some of my favorite each year and I am stoked for the ideas I have up my sleeves for 2013!

Save the Date for Easter Mini Sessions coming MARCH 9th!  Last year we went bold and bright and this year we are going soft, subdued, yellow’s, grays, whites and pops of pastels with of course a live animal making an appearance!  Will it be bunnies or chicks???? We don’t know yet!

These are two little girls who LOVE SANTA and are definitely decked out and ready for the holidays!  I had the privilege of meeting Ms. Kennedy a few weeks ago and was excited to meet big sister Reagan at their family session.  She was a ham and a half and she definitely stole my heart during their session.  She is a great BIG sister and I can tell she likes having Kennedy around.  The best part of their family session was definitely when we had the girls loving on the dogs and Kennedy went for her puppies ear (put in completely in her mouth!) and Reagan squeezed on her neck.  Adorable!

This week I had the pleasure of photographing this squishy little 5 day old baby named Elijah Layne. He was born a perfect 8lbs 11oz and 21 inches last week. He is such a blessing to his parents, Korey and Macie and I just love being able to cuddle up on him and give him smooches. These two are so excited to be parents, they could not stop smiling as I took pictures of him. They didn’t even know he was going to be a boy until he was born and the anticipation was killing them! He is perfect. Here are a few of my favorites from their newborn session at our Ft. Worth Studio.

Last week I hung out with Courtney and her dad at Van Zandt Cottage in Ft. Worth. Courtney is graduating with the class of 2013 and wanted to get her senior portraits made. She was so excited to get dressed up and even did a couple of runway walks for me down “the catwalk”. We had a fun time and she was so much fun to get to know. Her dad constantly had her laughing and dancing. Here are a few of my favorites from her senior portrait session.

I am SO excited about our fall portraits! Last year I missed out because I was on maternity leave with Gideon.  I have been plotting locations and a few props and it is making me think about my own families yearly photo and what on earth I will select for our holiday card.  We have a whole new line of cards this year I am in love with so I am not sure how I will choose.

This year we will be offering Fall Mini Sessions on select Saturdays and weekdays.  Available weekend dates are October 6th & 27th or November 17th.  October sessions will be photographed in Fort Worth near our studio and you may choose from rustic urban, bright urban or field/nature.  November 17th will be at Penn Farms at Cedar Hill State Park.  The farm has vintage barns, open fields, dirt roads and fence lines as well as beautiful trees.  Please note there is an additional cost for admission to the Farms, individuals over 12 are $7 each.  (The Farms rock and I may very well be doing my own family here this year.)

Photographing little ones is SO much fun!!!  As my family has grown to 2 little boys I have definitely found myself falling more in love with photographing the wee ones.  I was beyond excited to photograph little Layla for her 1 year birthday.  One of my associate photographers has been following her since birth and did her parents wedding but this time I got to hang out with this sweet princess.  Her Mom, Vanessa, came prepared with a bright outfit and fun UP inspired props.  It was perfect for this little birthday girl.  Happy Birthday Layla!!!

Hailey was such a little cutie. From her little dresses and her cowboy boots with pigtails to her big blue eyes. She turned 6 years old recently and so her momma, Cara wanted to get a few pictures of this sweet little girl. She definitely had a huge personality and loved to dance, so of course we had to capture that! Her auntie Adrianne from Turquoise Productions also tagged along for the fun.
