Lauren & CJ – Engagement Session at Japanese Gardens and TCUFort Worth, TX

I cannot get over how adorable Lauren and CJ are!!  From the moment I met with them I knew they were going to be a blast to photograph.  Lauren and CJ are both TCU alum and Lauren was a Showgirl at TCU, so of course we had to hit up campus for one of their locations! Being a TCU grad myself, I always love having a chance to go back to campus and talk about “the good ole days” with my couples.  These two are so precious and have such amazing chemistry, I couldn’t decide on which images to show!   Lauren and CJ  will be getting married next year at Classic Oaks and I cannot wait!

Abby & Casey – Wedding at The Fort Worth Club

Abby and Casey are married!  These two met playing soccer years ago and were married in the beautiful terrace of the Fort Worth Club complete with a fabulous view of Downtown Fort Worth.  Abby was escorted down the aisle by her mom and dad and she couldn’t have looked more stunning!  I love when ceremonies are full of memorable moments and Abby and Casey had several sweet, funny and tender moments.  During their vows Casey sweetly wiped a tear from Abby’s eye and just melted my heart.  After lighting the unity candle they were pronounced husband and wife and it was time to party!!  Everyone enjoyed cocktail hour with a fabulous all female mariachi band and then were all escorted into the ballroom to await the newlyweds.  Abby and Casey shared their first dance under the glowing light of the chandelier and then barely left the dance floor all night!  Nobody wanted to leave the dance floor, but all good things must come to an end.  Everyone gathered in front of the elevator and sent Abby and Casey off to start their new life through a tunnel of bubbles.  I’m so excited to share their day and so glad they chose me to capture it!

Nicki & Kenny – Wedding Reception at The Fort Worth ClubFort Worth, TX

Nicki and Kenny’s day went by way too fast, but was oh so much fun!  After the ceremony we finished up with their wedding party and had some fun with their photos.  Then we headed back to Fort Worth Club for the party!  After the dances and toasts, Nicki and Kenny had a fun way to include all of their guests in photos.  They did a selfie dash!  They went around to each table and each table thought of a fun pose to do with the couple.  It was such a great way for them to have a photo with everyone!  After that they, along with their friends and family, danced up a storm! We couldn’t believe it when it was already time to send them off on their honeymoon!  Before rushing off, they had one last private dance and then made their way to the elevators.  Everyone was sad to see it end but so excited to send the newlyweds off to begin their new lives!  Congratulations Nicki and Kenny!

Nicki & Kenny – Wedding Ceremony at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, TX

I am so excited to share Nicki and Kenny’s special day!  We started the day at The Fort Worth Club and I don’t think Nicki stopped smiling all morning.  Even when the tears started, she was still wearing a smile!  I absolutely loved the energy and happiness that I felt just during getting ready! Kenny loves Superman, so Nicki got him some fun Superman socks to surprise him with and to go with his Superman cuff links!  Once I saw Nicki’s dress, it was exactly what I pictured her wearing and she looked absolutely stunning.  Kenny even started coming up with all the different words he could think of to describe his new wife’s beauty.  It was so cute.  During the ceremony you could really feel the love between these two as Nicki so elegantly wiped tears from her eyes and Kenny could not keep his eyes off of her.  I am so happy to share some of my favorites from their big day and be sure to check back for more from their reception!

RoseAnn & Ross – Wedding Reception at The Renaissance WorthingtonFort Worth, TX

RoseAnn and Ross are now husband and wife and it is time to party!  After the ceremony all of their family and bridal party greeted and congratulated them while guests cleared the chapel.  We had some time for Ross and RoseAnn to be alone for the first time as a married couple and then it was on to the reception!  They had a few more special moments up their sleeves for the reception.  RoseAnn changed into her special red boots and her daddy helped her put them on before going into their father daughter dance.  Ross and his mom then shared a dance together and RoseAnn reserved a special dance with her brother.  I just love how close they all are!  Ross had a cake shaped like the Ole’ Miss football field and it was fun to hear them scream their chant.  Guests enjoyed dancing all night to the musical talents of It’s Your Night Entertainment’s Jeremiah Brinckley.  Not only is he a fabulous DJ, but he sings too!!  It was a fabulous night but all good things must come to an end.  While all of their family and friends gathered in the hall to see them off, Ross and RoseAnn shared one last private dance together.  They then were sent off to their honeymoon through a tunnel of shimmering red pom poms!  Congratulations to RoseAnn and Ross!

RoseAnn & Ross – First Look and Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr ChapelFort Worth, TX

It seems like just yesterday that I was meeting RoseAnn and taking her bridal portraits, and now she is married!  When I first talked with RoseAnn about her wedding day and her plans, she told me about how she is very sentimental and about the meaningful things that would be happening.  I, also being a very sentimental person, got really excited.  RoseAnn is very close with her family and so she had many things at her wedding that had special meaning to her and different family members. Her shoes were her wedding colors and had their names and wedding date printed on the inside. She wore her grandmother’s jewelry.  Her brother gave her a beautiful charm bracelet that he placed on her wrist before they left for the church.  As she walked down the aisle arm in arm with her dad, she held a bouquet of yellow roses because her dad calls her “his yellow rose of Texas”.  How sweet is all of that?    Don’t worry!  She didn’t leave her new hubby out.  She had a brand new perfume specifically for her wedding day and anniversaries that she wore.  They say that you can associate memories with certain smells and what better way to remind you of your wedding day than a new scent?  She also wrote Ross a letter that he read right before the ceremony that he can always have and look back on.  I could go on and on but I think I’ll let the photos finish telling the story from here.  Please enjoy some of my favorites from their special day and check back soon for their reception!

Erika & Joel – Wedding Reception at The OrchardAzle, TX

After the ceremony it was time to party!  I loved that Erika and Joel incorporated their favorite fandoms into their decor as cake toppers!  Everything from Justice League, to Harry Potter were present and it was awesome.  After cake cutting, toasts and a little bit of dancing it was time for the bouquet and garter.  Now, I have to say I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a dad monitor his new son-in-law during the removal of the garter, but Erika’s dad made sure that he had Joel in check.  Not to worry, Joel didn’t break a sweat and removed the garter with ease.  The rest of the evening flew by in a flash and before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye.  After a sweet private dance, Erika and Joel made their way to their getaway car surrounded by family, friends and sparklers.  I’m so happy for these two and can’t wait to see what the future brings them (and Franklin)!

Erika & Joel – Wedding Ceremony at The OrchardAzle, TX

After 8 years together these high school sweethearts are finally married!!  Erika and Joel were married out at The Orchard in Azle.  It was a beautiful day and Erika looked stunning as she walked down the aisle on her dad’s arm, wearing a veil made from her mother’s dress.  Joel and Erika were so cute during their sand ceremony as they giggled and smiled at one another in pure happiness.  I think everyone was anxious for these two to tie the knot, but I think Franklin, their ring bearer Pug, might have been the most excited.  Your wedding day just isn’t complete without your best friend and Franklin was there to support his humans the whole way through!  Congrats to Erika and Joel!  To see more photos of Franklin and their reception check back soon!

Jess and Bobby – Wedding at Piazza in the VillageColleyville, TX

Jess and Bobby are basically like my spirit animals.  Their love of sports and Harry Potter are enough to make me jump up and down with excitement.  Bobby proposed to Jess at the Rangers Ballpark and that’s where we took their engagement photos.  Jess surprised Bobby by taking her bridal portraits at Cowboys Stadium (AT&T Stadium) and their ring box looked like the 7th Harry Potter book.  I mean I geeked out a little getting to know these two!  Jess and Bobby were married at Piazza in the Village in Colleyville and they made sure to incorporate all of these things into their wedding.  They had “Always” written across the floor at the beginning of the aisle, and the ring bearers carried the Harry Potter ring box to surprise Bobby.  There was a lot of surprising Bobby throughout the day.  After the ceremony Jess gave Bobby his next surprise, which was a small canvas of one of her Dallas Cowboys bridal portraits.  It was so much fun to watch him open it.  Their reception was held in the ballroom and was lit with blue uplighting and red table linens (Rangers colors) and the grooms cake had the logos from the Stars, Rangers and Cowboys.  Their guests signed a baseball bat as they entered that would later hang in their house.  Once it was time for the toast, it was also time for another surprise.  Bobby knew his step-dad was prepared to give a toast, what he didn’t know was that he was going to make Bobby sing!  Apparently in his school days, Bobby played Danny in Grease.  Naturally, we all needed to see his performance and he absolutely killed it!  After that it was all about the dancing.  All of their guests loved to dance, but nobody as much as Jess and Bobby.  Those two had several dance-offs and threw out moves that I’d never before witnessed.  They definitely accomplished their goal of throwing a fun party!  But all good things must come to an end and while their guests lined up outside, Jess and Bobby had one last dance alone as newlyweds.  They then were sent off through a tunnel of pom poms and left for their honeymoon in Bora Bora.  I am so excited for them and am so glad that they chose me to capture their special day.  Congrats to Jess and Bobby!

Hannah and Kevin – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, TX

Even though the rain may have prevented the ceremony from being held outdoors, it let up just enough for us to finish up photos outside!  Then Hannah and Kevin partied the night away with Trey and the Tritones.  They were having a blast catching up with friends and family and rockin’ it out on the dance floor.  While all of the guests lined up to see them off, they stayed behind for their private last dance.  I always love private dances but the Ashton Depot is always such a beautiful backdrop for it.  Once they made their getaway, I met up with them in downtown to get a few more fun night photos!  Thank goodness the rain stayed away for the rest of the evening.  Congratulations to Hannah and Kevin!
