Last weekend I hung out with an awesome couple. Katie and Leo are tying the knot in October and had such a cute engagement story. Since both of them enjoy playing golf Leo took them out to play at Mira Vista Country Club where Katie’s mom works. They played a couple of rounds and Katie could not figure out why Leo was going so slow! Then at the last hole she noticed a flag saying “Katie, Will You Marry Me?”. Then all of their family and friends popped out of the clubhouse as she said “Yes!”. These two were so sweet together and I definitely enjoyed getting to know them. I am so excited to share these photos from Barbara & Brody’s Wedding day at A&M Gardens. Barbara & Brody were so adorable and full so so much emotion.  They chose to do a first look and were so excited to see each other they had to run into each other’s arms.  I loved how Brody was tearing up the whole day. From the first look, to see Barbara walking down the aisle and during their private last dance. I couldn’t help but tear up watching their love. I LOVE this little girl.  It kind of helps that I love this little girls parents but she is super cute with her big blue eyes.  I love photographing all things wedding and in my mind this goes hand in hand with it.  Getting the chance to photograph my couples as their lives change once again is the coolest opportunity.  I remember Megan and Austin’s wedding day, the sun flaring through the clouds as they embraced outside of their church and their proposal story complete with cows.  The connection I have to them enhances my joy in photographing sweet little Addy.  She is 6 months old now and sitting pretty, pushing up and turning into a big girl.  To see how far she has come check out her newborn portraits.

Last week I did a fabulous wedding out at OW Ranch with Jamie from Tami Winn Events.   It was a beautiful May day and we were lucky to have a breeze to cool us down. Even though the breeze would occasionally become gusts of wind.  Tyler & Brian had a few surprises during their ceremony that were not planned with the gusts of winds, a big beetle landing on Tyler’s dress and a bee swarming the bridesmaids bouquets. Tyler & Brian then had a fabulous reception where they enjoyed spending time with their friends and family.  The day was complete with the following vendors.

This week I had the chance to hang out with and photograph Melanie & Kyle and their awesome dog, Spartan.  When Melanie first told me how good their dog was I was a little skeptical because mine is a little bit crazy, but she was right!  Spartan was the best behaved dog I’ve ever met and he seemed to enjoy just hanging out and having his picture made. Melanie & Kyle are such a sweet couple and I had a blast getting to know them.  They will be getting married at the Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth and the reception will be at Stonegate Mansion in August.  I am very excited for their wedding day and I know it is going to be beautiful.  Please take a look at some of my favorite images from their engagement session.

Last weekend I was out in Dallas for Justine & David’s wedding. They started the day by getting ready in downtown at different hotels. From the hotels they went to have a beautiful afternoon ceremony at St. Rita Catholic Church.  Justibe & David wanted to make the most of the time they had with their close friends so between the ceremony and reception we went to a lookout over the Trinity River to do some photos in front of downtown Dallas and then to the Belmont Hotel for some drinks with their wedding party.  Once the reception started at eM the Venue it was non stop fun. They had several surprises for their guests that included a choreographed first dance, the TCU Horned Frog, & confetti at the end of the night. I loved this sweet rambunctious girl.  Lilly can run and we had to chase her down MANY times during her session.  So glad I had the opportunity to photograph her with Dad and Grandma.  Lilly looked spunky in the outfit I pulled from my prop closet, the black tutu and blue hair bow made her blue eyes sparkle.  Dad did a great job with bringing a very appropriate prop, sunglasses.  I hope to get to see this little one grow into a beautiful little lady.

I am in love with this image, why?  Because as sweet and adorable as any little girl may be most like to run, play and have a knack for bruises and scrapes.  I think this shot completely captures what being a girl is.

I absolutely adore the story of how Kristin & Brandon met. Even though they had grown up in the same town, lived less than 1 mile apart and gone to the same high school it wasn’t until they were in their twenties that they actually were introduced.  And how did they meet?  They were set up through their mothers who work together. I had so much fun last week when I shot Sara & Brad’s engagement session in Downtown Fort Worth and their new home they had just closed on. I actually live in the same neighborhood as their new home so we talked a lot about the area and I am so excited that for their wedding they chose to use many vendors from the same neighborhood.  I love how Sara & Brad were constantly making each other laugh and how they just enjoy being silly. Since Andrea & Garhett had done the first look they were able to go straight into their reception and immediately start enjoying the evening with their guests. Once the dancing started it was non stop until the end of the night. Andrea & Garhett were tearing up the dance floor. Randal Stout Entertainment helped keep it rocking all night long. The whole day was amazing thanks to the coordination of Jamie Lemke from Tami Winn Events. The day was completed with the following vendors.
