Last week I met up with some of my past clients, Maria and John and their cute puppies! I am a HUGE dog lover so this session was a blast for me. Getting to cuddle with a brand new puppy named Simba and his Dad, Gucci. These two made my heart melt! Here are a few of my favorites from their mini session.

This week I was excited to hang out with some old friends and their sweet little man, Landon.  He is just a week younger than my Gideon so I of course just loved him and was excited to capture him at this awesome stage.  I think 2 months is so important of a milestone because it is when a baby starts being more reactive.  I love the giggles, funny faces, smirks, smiles and the what are you doing looks that babies all of a sudden become capable of.  I just squealed with glee when I got the shot below of his little grin.  I hope I get to photograph him again and see him grow into a little boy!

Last weekend Jenna and Brandon got married in a beautiful ceremony at Grace United Methodist Church in Dallas followed by a rocking reception at Hickory Street Annex.  I loved a lot of the little touches they included into their day. They included a new tradition I had not yet seen with love letters and a wine box. They both wrote love letters to each other and locked it in a wooden box with a bottle of wine.  They each have a key and locked the box during their ceremony. On their 5th anniversary they are to open the box and read the letters to each other while drinking the wine.  I love this idea! Their ceremony was followed by non stop dancing and celebrating during their reception. Their day was complete with the following vendors:

Lillian and Kyle hired me just over a year ago and it was so great seeing them after so long! Their wedding was a beautiful Christmas wedding filled with lots of special moments. It was really focused on family. My favorite parts during the ceremony were when Lillian’s sister and grandma sang different Christmas carols. They were so pretty. Then the pastor read from a book of wedding vows that they have had in their family for 50 years. This is one of my last weddings of 2011 and it was so special to photograph. Here are a few of my favorites from their day.

I spent a fun filled afternoon with Katie and Trevor last week at Cedar Hill State Park for their engagement session. They are so adorable and sweet. I loved how they constantly kept kissing each other on their noses. It is a little joke for them. Katie  had kissed Trevor on his nose on one of their first dates and he had to ask if she meant to do that. They also brought along their two dogs who were entertaining and so well behaved. So you know I love weddings, they are just awesome!  BUT at the completion of a wedding my couples have become something new, a family.  This brings more opportunities to spend time with my amazing clients as they grow their new family.  Last week I had the ultimate pleasure of hanging out at our studio with one of my couples, Austin & Megan, and their new sweet baby girl, Addilyn.  It was awesome to catch up, give Megan some Mommy tips and love on this little peach.  Welcome to the world little Addilyn!

8 lbs, 8 oz and 22 inches long

I love this little princess.  This was my 4th time to photograph this little beauty and she is only 9 months old!  Her Mom brought this adorable hat and ruffled diaper covers that was just the perfect amount of festiveness.  I loved her pretty little Christmas dresses too.  These were shot in our new studio location and we are so thankful for the warmth on these cold days!

Last week some past clients of mine brought in their baby to our brand new studio. Grayson was such a cutie and is only 2 months old! I just love seeing my clients grow over time and having babies. Last week I photographed one of our second shooters, Amanda, and her boyfriend Ben. They had never gotten pictures together-and so being a photographer she definitely needed some! We met up in Deep Ellum to hang out by some funky, colored walls. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

We have been working hard for almost 7 months doing some major renovation to our new studio location and today we made the BIG move!  We are excited to have found the most perfect place for our business.  Our new 1920′s studio home at 1215 6th Avenue in the Fort Worth Southside neighborhood is beyond what I even hoped.  The transformation has been miraculous and after the holidays I will share some before, during and after photos of all the work!

At our new location we now have 2 consultation areas, a dressing room/shooting room (perfect for indoor baby, toddler and boudoir photos), separate office, play room (for my children) and a kitchen!  Not to mention a backyard that when we get around to all the plans I have brewing in my head will be fabulous for children’s portraits!  Oh, and did I mention our HUGE front porch.  It is just dying for some cute siblings to hug on each other while sitting on the steps.  Today we broke in our new space with a 2 month baby session (had to get right to work!)

It was sad to say good bye to our Daggett location as it was so perfect when we moved in but we definitely outgrew it.  I can’t wait to see how it turns into the perfect place for it’s new tenant, Stir Crazy Baked Goods!
