Last Wednesday before Thanksgiving weekend I was blessed to get to photograph a few couples celebrating their first Christmas as a married couple. I met Jessica and Shawn that morning. They brought along their dogs Laila and Kingsley in order to capture their whole family for the holidays. Here are some of my favorites from their holiday session.

Lindsay & Nathan are such a sweet,  energetic couple. I loved how expressive they were throughout their wedding day and just kept each other smiling and laughing.  Lindsay and Nathan are both graduates of TCU so I loved their their colors were purple and everything was TCU themed from the purple bridesmaid dresses to the horned frog cake topper. They even made sure the DJ announced the score of the TCU football game that day which they won.  Their day started with an early afternoon ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel and then continued into downtown with their reception at Embassy Suites.  Their reception was a non stop dance party with Lindsay and her girls showing off all their dance moves. After the reception I went to Lindsay and Nathan’s hotel room to get some photos of him carrying her over the threshold and in their room before they joined their friends to celebrate the rest of the night. Lindsey & Jason are a sweet couple whom Tracy photographed last year for their wedding. They will be celebrating their one year anniversary next month. We have really enjoyed getting to know them more over the last few months.  For the holidays they wanted to get some family photos done with their dog Ben who is a giant sweetie. We went to a local park in downtown Fort Worth for their session. Here are some of my favorites from their family portrait session.

I have been photographing the Dillion kids for a couple years now. It always so great getting to see them every year and see how much they have grown! This year they brought along their half sister, Chloe and she was such a little cutie. Jessica Dillion from the Knot has been one of our faithful clients over the years. Rebecca and Sean are having a small wedding in Ft. Worth at the end of December. So we met up last week to do some engagement portraits for them. These two were so sweet and I really enjoyed hanging out with them for their mini session. Here are a few of my favorites.

I’m always excited when I get to see of my past bride and grooms. I ran into Kelly a few months ago at a wedding I was photographing and I was so happy when she e-mailed me a few weeks later for holiday portraits.  This will Kelly and Levi’s second Christmas together as a married couple. I love that Kelly and Levi wanted to play and brought some Christmas ornaments to play with. Here are some of my favorites from their holiday portraits.

I am so excited to share these photos from Casseday and Kevin’s engagement session. Casseday came to me wanting to do something a little different for their session. We started the day at White Rock Lake in an area that she and Kevin frequent quite often with their dog Olsen who they brought along for some photos.  We then went to one of her friends apartments in downtown Dallas that had an amazing view over looking the city. They then ended their session with a cigar and wine by the fire. Here are some of my favorites from their Dallas engagement session.

I spent a beautiful afternoon in Dallas recently with Sabrina and Drake walking around the Arboretum and the Dallas Arts District. It is the perfect time of year when the leaves are changing colors and it’s not too cold or hot. Sabrina and Drake chose to have part of their session in the Arts District since the church her parents and grandparents got married in was right downtown. We of course had to do some photos in front of their church to honor her family. Here are some of my favorites from their Dallas engagement session.

Meg & Corey are an adorable couple who got married at her grandfather’s home recently. Meg’s grandfather’s house they got married at is actually built exactly the same as the plantation house her grandparents had in Oklahoma.  Meg included many items from her family in her wedding day, her dress was made from part of her aunt’s wedding gown, she wore her mother’s bracelet and included a family broach on her bouquet.   Meg & Corey  are a couple who can not get enough of each other and decided to do a first look before their ceremony since they didn’t want to be apart for so long.  I loved that the minute Meg saw Corey waiting for her she just ran to him in excitement. Last week we had a blast photographing Megan and Eric’s wedding. They had an A-list of vendors including, Tami Winn Events and LeFleur Couture who created some magnificent flowers, Bliss Bridal who did an excellent job at providing all of the bridal gowns, Something You Makeup Artistry, Ambiance Entertainment as their DJ, Turquoise Video Productions and of course the beautiful Bass Hall as their backdrop! With a crew like that how could you go wrong?

These two did it a little different then most weddings. They decided that after their reception they wanted to keep the party going with a rockin’ after party-complete with glow sticks and silly 80s glasses! It was a blast. One of my favorite moments from their wedding was the ceremony. Eric’s brother performed the ceremony and so he made it personal and exactly for them. It was very sweet for them to be able to share that moment with him. Another sweet moment was right after the ceremony when they realized they were married for the first time. They hugged and kissed and were just so excited. They began exclaiming to everyone in the room, “We’re married!”. Its moments like that that I love! Here are a few of my favorites from their day.
