Love the zombies!

Heather and Ed came to me with a very different idea of what they wanted their engagement session to be. These two are tying the knot on Halloween weekend and wanted a spooky, horror movie inspired engagement shoot plus some “normal” photos as well. So I accepted the challenge and we had a blast! They chose their favorite creepy characters like ghosts, zombies, vampires and even an old gothic painting. It was great to have a change from the normal photos and release my inner “zombie”. Here are a few of my favorites from their session. I can’t wait for their wedding on Halloween, complete with costumes for all!

I have known Allison and Joe now for a while as I have been photographing their family for a couple of years now. I am so excited that they are finally tying the knot! These two are super funny and we had a blast exploring Grapevine. I love when couples bring along their dogs to the session, because I am definitely a dog lover. Their dog Bo looked mean and tough but he was actually super cute and cuddly! Their wedding is going to be so beautiful out on Joe’s parents land in October. I can’t wait!

Lindsay and Nathan are such an adorable couple I had such an amazing time with last week. It’s always fun discovering things about each other and we had one of my favorite conversations where we each discussed what type of animal we would be. The playful nature continued into their session where we went to TCU frog fountain at the end of the session so they could play in the water.  TCU is where Lindsay and Nathan met and where they will be getting married so I knew we had to end the session there.

August 23, 2011 Kasey Class of 2012

Last week I hung out with Kasey and her mom. They were so much fun! We laughed and joked around the entire session. Kasey is graduating next spring from High School and she is so excited. Her eyes were a gorgeous blue and it was impossible to get a bad picture of her. I wish her all the best for her senior year!

Last week I met up with Maria and John for a little nontraditional Bridal session. These two skipped out on tradition and wanted a session with just the two of them before the wedding day in a beautiful location like the Japanese Gardens in Ft. Worth. Maria got her lovely, flowy dress at Bliss Bridal in Ft. Worth. Maria and John will tie the knot next month with a traditional Vietnamese ceremony in the morning, and a rockin reception at night.

August 20, 2011 Courtney Class of 2012

I was so excited this week to get to photograph Courtney for her Senior portraits. I  did some head shots for her mother a few months ago and I always love getting to know the whole family. Courtney is headed into her senior year at Martin High school which is where I graduated many years ago and it was interesting to hear how it has changed. I loved how playful Courtney is and willing to try anything I suggested.

Last week when I was photographing Barbara & Brody in Fort Worth we were blessed with a small cold front where the weather was in the 90′s and not 100′s for their session. I really enjoyed getting to know Barbara and Brody and discovered that Barbara and I had the same swim coach in high school. I am such a dog person so I loved that they brought their dog Nix to the beginning of their session. Here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.

Cheyenne and Brad were married last weekend at Christ Chapel Bible Church and had their reception at the Reata Restaurant in Ft. Worth. These two were so gorgeous and had some really sweet moments throughout their day. Some of my favorite moments were when Cheyenne’s mom and grandpa walked her down the aisle. She was so nervous, but as soon as she saw Brad you could tell all was right again! Another great moment was as they came out of the ceremony and realized they were married, what sweet moments alone for the two of them. Their bridal party was super sweet and the food at the Reata was super yummy! An all around great wedding that although it rained, it was just enough to cool us off a little bit so we could party the rest of the night. Here are a few of my favorites from their day and I hope they are having a fabulous time in Hawaii!!

I love it when an engagement session starts off with lots of laughter like my session with Keshia and Jason. We started the day at some of my favorite colorful walls which matched their bright fun loving personalities.  I am so excited to be photographing their wedding next year I know they will just make each other  laugh the whole day. Here are some of my favorite from their Fort Worth engagement session.

Fun! That is the way to describe the celebration of Jacquie and Cecil’s marriage at St. Patrick Cathedral and City Club of Fort Worth.  Jacquie & Cecil chose to do a first look which is one of my favorite things and allowed us to play in downtown Fort Worth for a little bit.  I just loved how happy you can see they make each other and how once they were together they had these huge smiles on their faces. Here are some of my favorites from thier day which was complete with the following vendors.

Tami Winn Events and La Fleur Couture

Brides dress and Bridesmaid dresses from Bliss Bridal Salon

The Cake Guys

i-entertainment

Make up by Tish at Mancini Make-up Studio and Hair by Haute Facade
