The other week I had the pleasure of photographing one of my close friends Sherry and her beautiful family. I met Sherry when she was first pregnant with her daughter Aspen, who is now 3,  and I have loved getting to see her add onto the family this year with their 6 month old Hudson. Aspen is such a little character and Hudson is the spitting image of his big sister. Here are some of my favorites from their family portrait session.

Nick and Kelly are one of my favorite couples that I photographed last year for their wedding. So when they asked me to photograph their newest addition, Lucas, I was so excited! I absolutely love babies. And for their session I wanted to try something a little different, I wanted to capture the moments between their family in what we call a lifestyle session. Since their world has changed so much by Lucas coming in to it, I wanted to document the new joy that they are experiencing right now so that they never forget it. Here are a few of my favorites from their session…

Last weekend I had the pleasure of hanging out with Lillian and Kyle. These two are tying the knot next December in their home town of Decatur. We had a blast exploring the Grapevine Train Station as well as the lake and a few hay bales that we had to chase down icon smile Lillian & Kyle Engaged at Grapevine Main St! . One of the things that Lillian really wanted in her pictures was hay bales. So like a good photographer I went scouting for her and found the perfect field. But what did I find when we showed up that day? The farmers rolling them out of the field! Thank goodness Kyle sweet talked us one last hay bale! Here are a few from my session that I loved. Merry Christmas!

The Williams Family was SO much fun this last weekend.  We definitely had an adventure as when we arrived at the McKinney Cotton Mill it was locked!  We sat tight and started our session out front and just in time some one came and let us in.  I am so glad we were able to shoot in-door’s as planned as it was a tad cold for the little one and windy.  These three amazing little boys completely had me laughing and playing silly games from behind my camera as always to get their attention.  I was all prepared for the youngest, Evan, to be my challenge but Ian is a future class clown and had me working for every shot.  At his request I had to photograph a dead bird and him being ridiculous with his older brother, Zane.  Can’t wait to see them all again soon!

Last week I spent a beautiful but windy December afternoon with Marla & Jon. Marla and Jon are still fairly new to Texas moving here so Jon could complete his residency. I took them to Trinity Park and then we walked around down town Fort Worth where the wind really picked up. To escape it we headed indoors to the T & P Station. Marla and Jon are so adorable and they loved to cuddle. I cannot wait for their wedding next July. Here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth engagement session.

One of the absolute best parts of our job is watching our clients families grow and change.  I first photographed this family back when little Logan was in the womb and since then we have been photographing them at all the milestones.  A few months ago Sarah Halferty captured some family photos while Casey was still pregnant with the twins and now I had the pleasure of spending the morning with them and getting to know the two new babies.

Born November 11th, 2010

Holden Alexander 6lbs, 10 Oz & 19 inches

Morgan Elise 6lbs, 6 Oz & 18.5 inches

Here are some favorite moments with the family and of course some cute portraits!
