Last week I met up with Rachell and Adam for their Ft. Worth Engagement session. I am so glad I got to hang out with them before they rushed back to Oklahoma. Both Adam and Rachell serve our country and are such amazing people. They tie the knot in October before Adam is deployed. It was great watching these two interact, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other! We had fun hanging out in the Stockyards and then around our studio.

On Saturday Jen and Jarrod tied the knot with a beautiful wedding at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas. Everything was glitz and glamor as these two had thought of everything for their wedding and had some amazing details! Everything except for the marriage license…oops! just a minor detail forgotten! It made into a great joke though as they fooled all of their guests into thinking they were really getting married. These are just a few major details to think about as you get ready for that special day.

I think the best part of the day is just standing back and noticing the little things my couples do to show that they care about each other. It definitely makes me love my job when I watch my couples on their special day. I love the looks, kisses smiles, and even tears (I’ll tell you a little secret…I definitely cried at this wedding!)

Last weekend before the crazy downpour Taylor and Jacob and I hung out around the studio for their Ft. Worth Engagement session. These two were a rockin couple, and super fun to hang out with. Their wedding will be in Grapevine Botanical Gardens in the Fall, and it is sure to be fun! It was great chatting with Jacob about cameras and photography and laughing with Taylor about silly, random things. One of my favorite moments was when Taylor yelled, “Okay, piggy back ride!” and Jacob jumped on her back ready to go. She was even able to carry him! Definitely very cute.

Last weekend Samantha and Payton came into town from College Station and Houston for their engagement session.  We ended up having to start our session early because of the threat of rain.  It ended up only sprinkling on us a little bit  but we still had fun playing around with the umbrellas. We started the session at the Fort Worth Stockyards and then headed to our favorite warehouse location. When I took Sam and Payton back to the stockyards we stopped in at the horse stables and played with a horse named Bob.  Here are some of my favorites from their session. I cannot wait until their wedding in August.

Amanda and Kyle are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the chance to photograph! These two were so sweet to each other, it definitely showed that they were in love. We had a blast exploring some new parts of Dallas for their engagement session; including the Bishop Arts District and the Old City Heritage Park. Their awesome dog Abbye even tagged along for some!

Their wedding is in July at the Filter House in Dallas. I absolutely can not wait to hang out with them again!

Last week I spent a beautiful afternoon with Yvette and Mike out in Grapevine. We started out at the Gaylord  where before the session we sat down and had a drink and got to know each other a little better. After the Gaylord we then went to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad which was fitting since Mike is an engineer and taught us a little about trains. Yvette and Mike are getting married next month at a vineyard in Grapevine and I am so excited for them.

I had a blast hanging out with Tiffany, Devin and their daughter Ensly. We went around Ft. Worth checking out some fun spots and laughing- a lot! These two are tying the knot in September at the Ft. Worth Club, and I can not wait! Its great hanging out with couples that can’t keep their hands off of each other-talk about STEAMY!

All in all we definitely had a great time, even when we had to stop at several gas stations for Ensly to use the potty icon smile Tiffany & Devin Engaged!

Last weekend I had the great pleasure of photographing Michelle and Kyle on their amazing wedding day. Michelle and Kyle are the first couple I had that got ready together and one of my favorite moments is posted below. I just love the look on Kyle’s face as he beams at Michelle as she pins his boutonniere. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. We had to battle the Mayfest and Prom crowd but were blessed with amazing weather even though storms were threatened for the whole day. The ceremony was followed by the reception at the Sheraton in Fort Worth. The staff there did an amazing job.

Last weekend I photographed Adrian & John  on their wedding day. It was a beautiful windy day out on Rockwall lake. They had a daytime wedding, and it was very laid-back and super fun! One of the unique things that they did was see each other before the ceremony. We call this a first look. It allows the couple to spend a few quiet moments together before the craziness of the day begins. We also managed to sneak away before they rushed off to their honeymoon for a few romantics at a harbor near by. Here are a few of my favorites…
