Jonathon & Casey have been some of my dear friends since highschool and I was thrilled when they asked me to be their photographer for their wedding day. These two tied the knot in the simplest of ways at the Courthouse in Ft. Worth. It was my very first Courthouse wedding! The room was filled with joy as these two said their vows to eachother in a very full room of friends, family and strangers. A short wedding was all they needed and then they were off to San Antonio to cruise the Riverwalk for their honeymoon. Here are some of my favorite moments that were caught right after they said “I do”…

A couple of weeks ago I hung out with Jordan & Elizabeth Brown on their wedding day. These two love birds got married during the day at the White Chapel Estates in North Richland Hills. The great thing about this venue was all the gorgeous light that poured through the huge windows. A photographer’s dream! And they used this to their advantage by having an afternoon wedding. Definitely a gorgeous photo opportunity.

Krista and Marc and their two little ones (pups) and I had some fun in Dallas the other day for their engagement session. We headed out to the park for some dog friendly photos before checking out Marc’s work (a golf course) and down town Dallas.

Their dogs cracked me up, especially Putter. She was to cute with her rotund and short little body jumping over things and being a cutie. Marc was a great sport even though I think he would have rather been relaxing on his day off. Here are some images from their session.

On May 23rd in Natchez, Mississippi these two were married at the Dunlieth Plantation. It was a great weekend from their rehearsal dinner to the end of the wedding. It had been pouring the day before and we were forced to rehearse inside but we all said many prayers the most perfect weather for this outside event.

The Groom is one of our second shooters so I was so excited when he asked me to shoot this for him. It is always a privilege when anther photographer likes our work enough to have us be there for them on their wedding day.

Upon arriving in Natchez we (my husband accompanied me) were greeted in our room with the sweetest gift basket complete with the couples favorite drinks. On her wedding day we had to keep tracking down her favorite, Coca-Cola, as the property was a Pepsi kinda place. The bride arrived on a horse drawn carriage and her Dad married them as the groom’s Father asked who gave her hand in marriage. The best part – the romantics! These two were ready for some time alone and we took complete advantage of the lovely property. Here are some of my favorites but really, watch their slide show because the entire day was just beautiful.

A few weekends ago Sonia and Robert got married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick Catherdral and held their reception at McDavid Studio. After the ceremony Sonia and Robert took a beautiful carriage ride through downtown Fort Worth to the Bass Hall where we had fun with their bridal party and then went to the balcony on the fourth floor overlooking all of downtown.

Sonia and Robert are a playful couple introduced to me by my friend April Ragsdale with Princess Bride Productions. Their reception was a blast. They had a mariachi band serenade them while they ate and they danced into the night.

HORSES! That is what I have to say about this shoot, it was like being a little kid because I got to play with horses!

Katy and Tyler met on horse back and horses are Tyler’s life so we couldn’t think of a better thing to do for their engagement session. We met out in Weatherford and explored the old train depot and downtown before heading to Katy’s parents place where they jumped on horse back and played. I love how Tyler had to re-enact his first interaction with Katy but of course he added a kiss as he leaned on her saddle. The light was scrumptious and the horses behaved and I honestly could not have asked for more.

I looking forward to their wedding and country elegant wedding at the stockyards in September.

Dawn and Josh live out in Lubbock and we finally found a time to get together for their engagement session last weekend. It was a double feature as I shot this in the morning and Dawn’s bridals in the afternoon. In the morning we explored the old Farmers Market, The Tower in down town and hit up a park so their pups could join us for a few shots. I can’t wait for their August 15th wedding at University Christian and The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

A few weekends ago I went with Tabitha & Brad to various locations in Fort Worth. I loved how they kept each other laughing the entire time. They are such a joy to be around and their bright smiles are contagious. I cannot wait for their sunset wedding in September.
