Shooting engagement sessions is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding process because I get to hang out and know my couple. These two really are super fun and I just loved so many of their images. I was trying to wait and post some favorite with a slide show but I just couldn’t. Here are some of my many favorite images.

While I was away on my honeymoon I got to play with my camera and do this fun dress trashing on St John. Vanessa was my second photographer for our wedding and Cristina’s sister. It was fun to be on the side of the camera I am most comfortable if even for a little while. These are some of my favorite shots. Enjoy!

My two favorite shots of the day. Above right after the ceremony and below in their sweet vintage get away car.

Rachel and Jason are CRAZY in love and that makes my job the BEST! How much fun is it to hang out with a couple that is so right for each other it makes you sick? It is sweet! Their wedding was so fun despite any bump along the way because of how he looks at her and how silly she is when in his arms. They laughed, danced and were entertaining to everyone in attendance and then they went to DISNEY WORLD! That’s right, they are truly kids at heart.
Best of all what drew Rachel to me was the music on my website (portrait site.) Her brother is the featured musician, John Lamonica in his band Tie Breaker. They are really great and Rachel felt our photographic friendship was fate. An even bigger compliment is that Rachel herself is a photographer and teaches photo journalism at a high school.Their wedding was at The Mediterranean Villa in Arlington.

Kristin and Ryan were married on 6.21.2008. This couple is amazing because they have been together since high school! I know they look like they just graduated but they are a tad older than that and have been together for a very long time. I love that they have grown together as a couple .

Dawson and I shot this wedding together and we had a great time. Here are a few of our favorite images.

July 16, 2008 My Wedding Teaser

traceteaser My Wedding Teaser

My photographer sent me this over to tease me and of course wet my appetite to see some of my own wedding images. We had so much fun and I can’t wait to share the rest….JW and I got very wet as you can see. The best part is that the dress is fine! The trashing didn’t “trash” it. All it needs is a little steaming and it is good as new. In fact I will be wearing it next month for a little reception my husband’s Dad and Step Mom are throwing us.

More to come….as I get them. icon smile My Wedding Teaser
Thanks Cristina & Vanessa!

BallWedding6.21.08 00009 Mr. & Mrs. Phil Ball

Jennifer and Phil Ball were married on 6.21.o8 at my personal favorite, The Garden Manor in Grapevine, Texas. From the beginning Jennifer & Phil have been nothing but fun! I don’t think I have one picture where these two weren’t laughing or smiling from ear to ear. They were so much fun to be around, the entire day was relaxing and beautiful. Just as it should be. I am so happy for these two. I felt as though some of my closest friends were getting married, and even teared up a couple of times during the ceremony!  They ended the night with their favorite bottle of wine in a romantic carriage ride through downtown Grapevine.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

They had such amazing details that held so much meaning at their wedding! These are Jennifer’s Mother’s pearls that were given to her by Jennifer’s Father when they were married all those years ago. She had the opportunity to wear them on her wedding day.

blog2 Danielle & Chris Engaged!

Before I flew off for my own wedding I spent an evening with Danielle & Chris. We met up at their reception location for some “golf” at the Colonial in Fort Worth. This little gem is tucked away near the Zoo just blocks from my studio. I didn’t even know this place existed but man is it a gorgeous place for a wedding!

These two are so sweet and adventurous. We went everywhere and we did outfit changes every time! It was a blast and I just love the little looks Danielle gave Chris as he kissed on her. Sarah posted a few of her faves before but I couldn’t help but pick a few of my own.

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of hanging out with Ms. Kaydra Fleming. She is trying to adopt a beautiful little baby and she needed pictures for her adoption profile. It was so nice spending the morning with her and hearing her story. She had come over during Hurricane Katrina and has been living in Texas ever since. She was such a sweetheart, and I can’t wait to meet her new baby! I wish her the best of luck throughout that crazy adoption process!

StaffelWedding7.2.2008BLOG00010 Mr. & Mrs. Justin Staffel

On July, 2 Meredith & Justin had a small, impromptu wedding before Justin headed off to Iraq. The ceremony and reception were held at Lantana Lodge in Pilot Point, Texas. It was such a joy to do this wedding. It was one of those weddings that was really just about the love shared between two people and their families. I felt so honored to be apart of such an special moment in their lives! I wish them the best of luck for the future and hope to see them again when Justin gets back!

blogpersonal00006 I am back and married!

I am so excited to be home and even more to be married! JW and I had a wonderful trip to the US Virgin Islands and a even better wedding! My fabulous photographers, Cristina & Vanessa, are going to be sending some pictures my way to share later this week but I thought I would go ahead and share at least a few snapshots.

We stayed at a private villa on St John and the privacy was so perfect. We spent most nights in and cooked on the grill and sat on the balcony taking in the amazing views. The best way to see the island is by 4 wheel drive…trust me you need the 4wd! We spent every day exploring a new beach and just reading and relaxing. We did take a day trip to Virgin Gorda, a British Virgin Island, to see the world famous Baths.

All these photos were taken with my new point and shoot camera, the Olympus Stylus 1030SW. There in lies my tip for the week because this camera went everywhere and stood up to it all. It is completely waterproof up to 30 ft (just don’t open the battery door) and does great in the water, being dropped down a hill side and has great pre-set options for landscapes and sunsets. Every passer by that we handed it to to snap a quick picture did great and it even has a easy to use timer feature so you can set it on a rock or table and pose away. Best of all it has 10.1 megapixels so image quality won’t be a problem.
